i am in a position that i need to buy both a pc and a mac for develpoment purposes, however i still want to be able to play eve online.

I have two options :

Get an Mac book pro (15in retina display) and a desktop pc

or

Get a Mac desktop and a Gaming portable

either option sets me back about the same amount, as a gaming laptop is quite expensive, so lets say for the sake of argument that money is not the issue here (the company is paying for it so... ;) i really dont care), however i have never played eve online on the mac and dont know what the performance / look and feel is like...

Anyone with experience of playing eve online on the mac care to share their experience?

Get a MacBook Pro and a desktop pc. I use a 2011 iMac and all is good but didn't have your options. The MacBook Pro is a class leader and a desktop PC is superior due to upgradeability.

Eve runs hot in boot camp so I use the OSX client. Settings are medium to high and it looks good and runs smooth. There is no denying it will run better on a windows PC though.
