Just a quick question for the eve community out there, does anyone actually listen to eve radio, or new eden radio? If not could you state why as well because i want to start my own radio station that is actually more fitting and appealing to the eve community. I hosted one for Dayz before and i was actually quite successful with it but college started so i dropped it and it was much more difficult to run at the time. If i was to start it i would have more fitting music like maybe a bit of 80's but mainly a lot of falloutish, 30-60's music which i feel would add more to your experience while you are out warping through space instead of that techno/electro music that these stations seem to favor which are much more appealing to playing games like league of legends or dota with. Thank you if you give feedback.

Edit: KK well is set it up, ill still develop it a bit but this is just the basic one at the moment.

Actually thats on of the main genre's in the station, Ive actually already made up a track list and have been playing it to myself for the past two days and i have really been enjoying it, kind of gives eve a suttle tone as im cruising along.

I used to listen alot to eve radio, not so much in recent times due to the amount of comms I used. Also global funk radio, just because its awesome, even though not Eve...

Trust me, I almost know what I'm doing.

Thanks for the feedback guys and possibly gals?
I plan on using twitch to stream during start up because thats how i did it before and im not a web developer so i need to do a bit of research if i want to turn it into its own website. Ill gladly drop a link once its all done.

I listen to EVE radio once in a while, I'll listen to it for a few days and then just kinda forget about it again only to have a peek months later. The "problem" I'm having with it is that general quality of the DJs is suspect and their music tends to be meh. Good radio shows I'd lisetn to as well as music choices that aren't the bloody obvious goth rock or dubstep.

If you'd manage to marry both eve knowledge, experience and invite interesting eve players for a chat (like a podcast type of thing) and play interesting music then I might be interested. Note that many of the eve players are a bit "older", there's certainly room for a DJ who focusses on that.

I listen to eve radio quite a bit, quite a few decent DJ's.

I think the problem for me is also comms though. No comms means more dead ships so I tend to have no music while i'm pewing.

Im still a bit new to eve but i can tell information is key to everyone, so iwas thinking ya i could get a bit of educated talk onto the show but as well have like spoken updates for 5 min of every hour telling people about whats hot on the market, which areas in the universe are currently very dangerous stuff like that, i like the ambience effect it brings.

EVE Radio, New Eden Radio and other radio shows are indeed a very enriching addition to the EVE Community and I am very glad that we have such passionate and dedicated members of the EVE Community running these radios.

From time to time you also can listen to CCP developers or CSM discussions on these radios.

I would also like to mention independent podcasts from our EVE Fansites that feature interviews with CCP developers - the EVE Community is indeed a wonderful place which offers many things and has something available for almost everyone's taste.

Just tune in and try out!

eve-radio all the time baby!
vaan, why dont you try and get a slot there, bring in some fresh music to a well etablished radio instead of starting a new station that competes with er? as far as i know they still have way too much jukebox inbetween the dj's so that would be a nice way to
a) diversify their music
b) not have too much pressure from start (you dont need to provide music for 24/7, only for your timeslot)
c) reach a broad spectrum of listeners from the beginning

You know, I have never listened to Eve Radio.

I shall rectify this shortly.

edit. I appear to have a lot of interference and distortion when I try to play Eve Radio. I think that there is a beat going on but I fear that is the crystal in my cat's whisker wireless about to go pop.

I will try again when there's music being aired. Tonight looks good, there's ball room dancing on or perhaps it may be a waltz special.

Confirming there's rly only one TRUE ER and the other which must not be named. Pre-recorded pod casts only get you so far :p

I only asked the question because i went on eve radio and the usually only have about 150 to 100 concurrent listeners. I just wanted to know if they were the same people all the time or if it was cycling.

Why listen to eve radio when new Eden radio has a do who regularly gets drunk while on-air while conversing with you in chat channels? Long live near!
