I prefere to earn my likes, which I get at a steady pace anyway.

I'm getting a bit tired of these threads. Honestly, how hard is it to click the little notifications icon and make it change colour back to grey? Why is it such a big deal?

Turn "Like" notifications off, problem solved. Unless there is a alternative motive for these scripts which is what I'm a bit concerned about.

Indeed there is. Even I had forgotten a way to turn them off as I had only been to that Settings page once about a year and a half ago when the Forum change happened.

It fills up your one Notification page with their Likes so that you cannot see the legitimate response notifications to thereads one is following.

It's a stealth Hostile act. Also, ties up the server and wastes yet more Dev time as they try to keep up.

This is actually turning into a huge concern.
