There's 2 of them now, Fluffydice joined the race and it's getting annoying (it was annoying from the start but now it gets silly). Stop it guys, honestly.

Turn "Like" notifications off, problem solved. Unless there is a alternative motive for these scripts which is what I'm a bit concerned about.

I Logged on today and saw 43 likes and was happy... Then I saw this thread and cried a little.

Play EvE how you want to play it and do not let others dictate how you play. Evolve your playstyle to protect yourself from others! Even in "PVE", "PVP" is there, lurking in the shadows.

Just bear with it for a little while longer. At least I'm done with it when the year changes. It's just a temporary thing to do during the holidays.

Well, if you're actually trying to have a proper conversation in threads and want to come back to threads people replied to then showing likes can be "useful", I don't care for them nor do I "collect" them (if I did I'd probably keep posting on the same character instead on the one that happens to be logged in). Liking scripts just add "noise" to it and it shouldn't be up to the user to have to remove options just to be shielded from people who misuse a script, be it in game or on these forums.

I believe this is a classic case of reverse psychology at work. OP really wants those in question to like his posts, just too shy to ask.

And a side note: People actually care who likes their threads enough to see who is liking them? Silly if you ask me. Must be an ego thing or something.

To see who likes your post is a great way to find people of like mind. Carebears posting about high sec safety will get likes from other carebears with the same thoughts, meaning they have a way to find people who may be good friends if they want to follow it up. It applies to everyone who posts, from trolls to serious business players.
