I was having some issues with the client before so i decided after the repair didn't work to just reinstall and that seems to have made it worse. The launcher does not work at all but the client works if i launch it manually so I know at least part of the installation worked properly. I have ESET SmartSecurity 5 and I have read that there are some issues with that but i have tried using windows 7 in safe mode so that it is not running at all and it still doesn't work (how i got it to install at all).

Edit: Found this which solved it. Sorry for the redundant post. This can be closed as it is now resolved.
