Since many people are reporting issues with downloading the Windows installer, I've prepared some metalinks that should allow you to acquire the payloads without corruption issues.
The following metalinks are available:

Full Installer:

Individual payloads:

Metalinks can be handled by most modern download tools. You can see a full list of applications which support metalinks here.

Since I know I like a good through and through tutorial, assuming correctly that I am an idiot...

Here's how I muddled through my first experience with Metalinks:

When first directed to this installer, I had no idea what to do next. Logically, I clicked the shiny orange button proclaming "Information on Metalinks HERE"

Cool. They download stuff. How do I do it?

The first step: Get a metalink application.

I tried Aria2 and GetRight with limited success, both having terrible "click here Fugu" obvious buttons. Eventually, i broke down and went for the FireFox add-on DownThemAll!

...which turned out to be exactly the obvious button I needed.

Right Click. Left Click. Left Click. Wait two hours for download to finish. Ding!

So now I have EVE back. Open up. Black Screen of Nothing! Clearly a problem.

Thinking back to the petition response that brought me here "The client is slightly older" ...perhaps I need to download the most recent patch to get it moving away from the Black Screen and back to the Spinning Station Screen.

So I followed the chain of thought to the manual download section of EVE, downloaded roughly 21mb of update, and suddenly it works again.

So - the short version:
Get a Metalink application (DownThemAll!) (http://www.downthemall.net/ - requires FireFox)
Right click the installer, save to file.
Run .EXE
Download EVE.
Go to Manual Patch section. (http://www.eveonline.com/patches/patches.asp)
Download latest patch.
Open EVE.
Download Patch.
Spin Ships.

Enjoy - and thank you for the solution for corruption.

Kudos for link, GM Xamother.
