Tournament cards: any success stories about?

Well questions is clear? We got new toys we can buy/sell. Is there any success stories about any scams with these cards? I can guess there was a lot of them? Golden time of card-scams finished anyway.

It's just like first day after gifts were given some people tried to sell HUN card for 500 millions speaking that there is too low amount of those cards was given. Didn't work for me so i bought this card today for 4 millions. But i hope some scammers will tell a story?

Or maybe something really interesting about new frigates? They felt really hard in price since first day. Suicide gankers need to work harder to make these ships really "collectible" Cool GO WORK LAZYBONES!

Well I just got into station trading a few weeks ago and struggled to get up to half a billion.

Managed to make over 2.5b in just 2 days of card trading. I had buy/sell orders in every card. At one point all of the orders on a card disappeared...Managed to sell one for 100m before they started piling back in the orders - awesome considering I was paying 200k for these things tops.

Was a ton of fun, but now I have no idea what to do with all these leftover cards, I think I have ~30 or so complete sets with tons of extras.

If you get all the teams completed in any given tournament year you actually get gifted the tournament 1st prize ship. I don't know if it's who ever gets all the cards or who gets them first that gets the. Anyway I've been gifted the Malice for completing the 9th Alliance deck so I'd not try that one first. I'm just collecting all the decks in hopes that it's only the first person to do it who gets the ship.

One you put all the cards in the same station it prompts what seemed like an instant evemail about congratulations for being such an avid collector and check your redeem items for your prize, the cards remain and are not traded for the ship, fyi.

Well I gave all my 9th cards to a alt to see if it allows him to redeem the ship but it did not, so it's either my cards are now redeemed or it is indeed just the first person to collect a particular deck that gets the prize ship.

Began my rampage right after DT/seeding.

Scooped a ridiculous number of cards for 1000-2000 ISK per card.

Sold almost all of them in JIta, average sale being about 2mil/card.

Highlights included one "HUN" card I dropped on a market order for well over 200mil, and one full set I sold about 48 hours after the seeding for 99mil -- but I included one of those "key pass" items in the contract to spice up it's appeal (to collectors).

Overall, I made a bit over 2billion -- and that's accounting for 40-50 cards I simply flushed due to overstock.

No complaints here. Pirate


BTW: I did not get an EVEmail with any reference to a free tourny/special ship for collecting the cards. I read what other folks have posted about this... but haven't seen or heard of it happening outside of posts in this thread. Glad to hear somebody got a great ship, though. Blink
