Question for CCP regarding payment

Dear CCP,
I dont wanna rush u our something, just need to know ETA on that money we won on the tournament since me and rest of my team r curious. Also way that ur going to pay em to people that does not have paypal.

Also, when r we going to get shirts ? Big smile

We have received the PLEX prizes, as for the rl cash I believe right now it is out of CCP's hands since those are donated by the sponsor, however I am sure they are doing everything they can to get those prizes distributed asap.

We are currently figuring out the most effective way to pay out to the various countries the winning team members are from. We will then collect all their data and send out the cash prizes. We apologize for the wait, but the holidays and the fact that we have never handed out a cash prize before have caused some delays.

A big dissapointment...it's almost 2 months since tournament finale and still no cash prize and no shirts. Just wondering how much time you need to calculate taxes for few different countries. Come out and tell us ETA if any, and stop insulting my intelligence with calculation issues.

Did own3d actually transfer the prize money to CCP? This article makes it sound like they aren't going to pay up, unless they already have.

Own3d is behind over a year on some payments so that might be the problem.

There are few simple things that we should really care about.

1. There was a tour in EVE-online
2. We won the tour in EVE-online
3. CCP stated prizes and ammounts
4. CCP is the tournament host
5. CCP is the one who should pay out the prizes

Yes its a shame that CCP didnt give money or shirts yet to the ones who fought and deserved it , even tho it passed 2 months since tournament was over.
Afterall i dont really care who will pay us ,as long as the keep the're promise and pay us, before we get to old and too ill to use computers.

And what insults our inteligence mostly is the fact that some GM will read this, and either he/she will ignore it or there will be comment like "we are working on it".

Next time please , before you make a tournament , make stuff that you are going to give away for prizes, dont humiliate yourself.

As you can probably imagine there are legal issues that need to be taken care of when a partner goes under, like in this case with Own3d shutting down. I can't go into specifics of the contract here but a situation arose that delayed the delivery of the prizes.

You will get the prizes, and to make sure I insult your intelligence Blink, we are working on it. Expect more information soon.

As an added note, even though we do not plan on making payment delays a habit, it normally takes between 1-3 months for prizes to be paid out in most online tournaments. And that is when no difficulties or problems arise. Of course we aim to do better than that, and that was our intention in this case but as is clear, difficulties arose and problems popped up.

Knowing that rl money transfer is an issue.... and since we came in third and the amount of rl money isnt that big of a deal per person for third. May I request that instead of rl money I recieve the equivalent or near equivalent worth in plex?

Money stays here in your game and helps my in game wallet 8).
