How to survive new lvl4's?

I've been away for a while (8months or so) and I saw few threads about new AI, what do I need to change to do them again, I have a mostly T2 fitted Raven (faction booster I think), would it still be viable?

ps. I kind of want to spec into turret ships too this time, for mission running, Minmatar was nice for that if I remember correctly?

Despite what the doomsayers claim, nothing much has changed, at least in L4 missions ...

Use "Precision" Cruise missiles for the Frigates/Elite Frigates/Elite Cruisers, "Fury" Cruises for everything else, and find a way to fit a Target Painter to really irk the NPCs and keep the aggro off your drones.

Oh, and don't send your drones 80 kms away, alone, without Painting something first.

All done.

Yeah, i was just as worried as you, i event spent a few hundred mill on shield boost amps and tanked my ac maelstrom with 1k dps tank. Infact, the only thing i notice is my drones get targetted, but considering most L4s dont have many warp scram frigates, as long as you got light drones all is cool.
I havent lost a single light drone in a dozen or so missions, i get them out literally for frigates that are warp scrambling me, they are the only real danger.

Like yourself and many others, when i saw the OMG level 4s are suicide, i was quite reluctant to do it, get stuck in, and find infact they are pretty much the same as we always known

EDIT: as soon as you see the ai stop attacking you, or your drones take damage, recall them, get them back out again. Thats about the only change ive had,.

Ah I see, I suppose I'll just go back to doing them in my old Raven then, thanks guys :)

Just something I forgot : Rigor Rigs are a must, but I bet you knew that already.

Also, the Navy Scorpion is really nice, not too pricey, resistance bonus, and more med slots to play with Painters/Drone modules.

Yeah I have rigors+tp in the setup, I think i'll have to sub the TP for more tank for the first few missions though before I learn them again for safety ;)

The only thing changed in missions is that non sentry drones are useless. As you fly missile boat you can spit on these changes, as any caldari flyer does.
P.S. If you spec into turret ships forget missioning vs bloods/sansha/serps.
