Mines Revisited ( EWAR NOT DAMAGE )

Hello,

Mines could be implemented again but instead of doing damage they could for EWAR purposes.
The way these mines would work is that they will activate for two seconds ( can be increased with skills but only to 25% more per skill level for a total of 4 seconds. )

  • Mines should go off in one pulse just as bombs that could last a couple of seconds if needed
  • Mines will deal no damage
  • follow stacking penalties



    Precautions so they are not OP
  • Only bombers can deploy them: mine deployment launcher
  • 1 or 2 per character
  • same type of mine cannot be placed near the Area of effect of the same type( affected by skill.)
  • EXAMPLE: Void Mine, Area of effect 30km then no other void bomb can be placed 30km from that mine
  • one mine triggers the others
  • mine could only be deployed via launchers but have to be anchored too. suggest 5 min anchor time.



    Skills That affect mines
  1. Mine deployment: permits the deployment of 1 Tech 1 mine and at level 5 you could use 2 mines and tech 2 mines.

  2. Mine efficiency: 25% in mine effect duration

  3. Mine calibration: Level one permits you near the mine without it going off. Level 2 permits corp members, level 3 alliance members, level 4 fleet members and level V you can choose to manually detonate mine by activating launcher that deployed it. You would have to target the mine and then activate the launcher that deployed it. One launcher per active mine, so if you want to use 2 mines you need to have 2 launchers.

  4. advanced mine calibration: permits the placement of more than one of the same type of mine near each other.

  5. **Only people with this skill can place a type of mine that is the same as one already present. since this works on a global scale if you have level 2 and there are already 3 mines of the same type present in a 30km radius, then you cannot place the mine.



    Possible mine types
  1. Void mine: same as void bomb but can be anchored
  2. Lockbreaker mine: same as lockbreaker bomb but with a 2 second initial effect.
  3. web mine
  4. Target painting mine
  5. Tracking disruption mine
  6. Warp scrambling mine: yes turns off you MWD.
