Hey

I played Eve for like 2 Months but then had to quit. Now i want to start play again and I would we very thankful if you could give me some advice on what to skill.

When I was playing i wanted to fly a Tengu for Incursions. But for now I wanted to start again with Missions first to get to know the Game again.

So heres my Pilot:

I really dont know if i should start all over again or keep playing with her.

I thought about playing PvP later so Amarr would be better instead of Caldari wouldnt it?

Again would be very nice if some of you Guys could give me some advice on what to do, because I really dont know.

Thanks, Niyu

There's rarely any reason to start from scratch over building on an existing character. Even if you completely change directions, you never know when the skills you've already trained will come in handy again.

Can't speak too much to PvP myself, but with the ship tiericide going on right now, I think all races have some good, viable PvP options. For that, you'll probably want to stick with guns over missiles. You've got some Gunnery skills going already, as well as Caldari and Minmatar ships. Those should serve you well enough.

You might consider training up Battlecruisers a bit right now. Some time in the ambiguously-defined future, they're splitting it (along with Destroyers) into 4 racial variants, and you'll get each racial BC skill level at your level of the current generic BC skill as long as you have the corresponding racial Cruiser at least to 3. (So if the switch happened now, you'd get Caldari and Minmatar BC 2.) You can probably get BC to at least 4 before the switch, but it may be too late for 5. BCs are quite useful for both PvE and PvP, so it's a good investment.

I think No, don't start over.

^seeing that only a few ships have been rebalanced, and they have battlecruisers to finish, I think there's still time to clear Destroyers V and Battlecruisers V and Frigates IV/Cruisers III

this is an all race "perfect logistics" plan. somewhat shorter once cybernetics V finishes and you get +5's plugged in.

the pilot is currently in a noctis, making me ISK

http://goo.gl/chS4x 500 days ish initially caldari then the other races at the end

at the time of this posting, if you finished this then went into caldari strategic cruisers or amarr strategic cruisers and specialized in Heavy Assault Missiles, you'd be in pretty good shape.

(also some propulsion jamming, and the ecm skills)

//my personal style was never dps skills (gunnery or missiles)... because I wanted to go after the common skills first. I won't begin systematically maxing gunnery and missiles until after engineering, electronics, mechanics, relevant science, and intelligence/memory subskills are done.

I see you're currently min/maxed for gunnery, maybe you want to stay in that, maybe not. but if you decide to remap, I would make it intelligence memory for the eng, elec, mech, sci categories

figure out what YOU want to do, and try not to let new corps or gangs sidetrack your plan. this is a big one--I recently left a corp because even though everything was great, i wasn't ready to move to a new skill set, and it would've pulled me out of my optimized attributes (stacking attributes for training is known as min-maxing)

takes patience. i'm in the middle of a long haul, and still have 4 more years to go. my skills sequence is Core->Logistics->Drones->Elect/Sci/Mech/Eng->Spaceship Command->Gunnery/Missiles

i recommend core no matter what, and it's a tough 200 day ish train, but if you knew exactly what to fly after that (I would suggest HAM Tengu or HAM Legion)... you could just go straight to it after core, then stay in that ship while you continue training other things.

ship stasis... it's what I did with cormorants and caldari battleships. been in them for years.

First of all thanks to you guys.
I´ll try to get battlecruiser at least to IV.

I played some combat Missions yesterday with a Drake it works but its makes no fun to fly that thing. I really dont like Missiles anymore so im thinking about switching to Amarr.

I know this way I wasted almost 800k sp in Missiles but it doesnt make any sense to play something that doesnt make fun.

So I really want to fly Amarr, what about training towards a Harbinger for Level 3 Missions so I can earn some iskies. From there I want to slowly train for an Apoc or Abbadon, I think its possible to run L4´s with them and theyre good in Fleet if i remember correctly.

What do you guys think about that?

Will try to figure out a Skill Plan but im open for your suggestions :)

Several Amarr (Khanid) ships use missiles or drones. Example: the new destroyer, the Dragoon.

Plus Stealth Bombers of all races require missile skills.

i.e. those missile skills are not wasted.

I by myself fly amarrian ships in PVE. Here are some tipps:

- Move to amarrian space for missions against Sansha and Bloodraiders. Your laser damage is set to EM and thermal types and you will want to fly against enemies with low resistances against that.
- Start with pulse lasers. They have a good range/damage ratio.
- While using lasers you are often tight on cap. Skill all skills which provide you more cap stability (e.g. don't forget to have a look at the Skill Bonuses of the Harbinger or Apoc, they help alot).
