"Hey guys, I have experienced a lot of hatred against the people who live in highsec, which funny enough includes me.
However I seem to have no clue why this is happening. I have a great idea! Let me post a long thread about it on the eve-o forums and ask why this hatred exists...."

Because null sec can't self sustain, and the power of high sec industry makes prices go below their mineral worth.

Lolwut: "Yes, you kids don't know how lucky you have it. These days noobs get given free tackle ships for PvP but back in the old days the only tackle ships we were given were our pods. We had to use them to bump their rookie ships out of alignment to stop them warping off."

Would multiplying all Null reward by 10 go and help you?

…none of which are opportunities to draw people out into null — they're not even sufficient to keep the nulseccers in nulsec.

So clearly there is only one thing ccp can do. Take close hard look at 0.0 space and make changes there. I believe its fashionable nowdays to speak about farms and fields in eve. Want more farms in 0.0? How about some more suport for peasants then?
Unfortunately, it's not just a matter of supporting them — it's just as much a matter of giving them a purpose and a reason to be out there rather than tucked away safely in highsec.

Moon goo depletable, yes implement this.
No, it's a horribly bad idea that would lead to the complete stagnation of null for pretty much exactly the reason people often assume it'd be a conflict driver: because it means that moving around becomes a worthless chore that creates massive costs for pretty much no gains.

Oh, and the supposed “hate of highsec” has very little to do with highsec. No-one hates highsec — just the fact that it's not properly balanced. The actual hatred is towards those (predominantly highseccers) who keep demanding more and more stuff for free and who break into incoherent paranoid rants at the mere suggestion that maybe all that free stuff isn't a good thing for the game as a whole.

No, it would just break things even more.

low sec is like north korea - most of the budget is military and the only way to survive is to get international help (high sec alts)

high sec is like arabian peninsula - people make money selling stuff to everyone else, getting richer and buying football clubs to prove they have bigger junk

its not hate,as george carlin said "its major psychotic fcking hatred"

Well, maybe if the people of the peninsula saw a bit more of the world and stopped believing what a few self-proclaimed thought leaders claim with pretty much nothing to back it, they'd stop being such a breeding ground for that kind of fundamentalism… hmm? Blink

i'm going to have to say it's jealousy, null sec was a lot of fun when it was big enough, with few players, so that it was a ton of chaos, these days, it's too much about territory control, which frankly, is really boring

..leaving the alliance people stuck in gate camp blobs a lot of time, which they use to browse the forums

if i ever go back to 0.0, it will be me joining some old pirate friends, the way i hear it, the pirates are the ones hogging all the fun :)

Gate camp blobs? More like escorting the titans to the structure blobs.

Why, right now?

Because the casual EVE players are busy celebrating the holidays, and not posting casual topics.

While the foreveralone bittervets are even more bored in EVE and post even more trolls during the holidays.

Expect the "hate" to return to normal within a week or two.

They feel lonely. They need some love and attention, that's why they endlessly post the same crap: nerf high sec/buff low

Its because a lot of people who play this game are sadists and there aren't enough masochists to provide them with entertainment.

Yeah, it's fine, balance is for marketing, highsec is for reality.

Sorry, all our future opinions on the topic of highsec are bypassing the forums and going directly to CCP via our nullsec-dominated CSM.
