The new Tristan is amazing. I've been using it for FW inside of novice plexes (t1 and faction frigate only) and it is insane. Here is a no implants needed variation of what I fly:

High:
75mm Rail II x 2
Small nuet II
Mid:
AB II
Meta web
Meta scramble
Low:
MAPC II
DC II
400mm rolled tungsten
Rigs:
Explosive Armor x 1
Trimarks x 2

Drones: hobgoblin II x 8

With genolution implants you can get a MWD and nos on for more practicality. The fit above though has gotten me some shocking kills this past month. Dramiels, hookbills, jaguars, comets, daredevils, brawler slicers. There have also been battles where multiple frigates are pounding on it and it still manages to take one or two down with me. 7.5k EHP and 150 DPS. It's a very nasty little ship.

Indeed, those Tristans are though nuts especially if for some reason you do not manage to kill their drones in time.

Glad to see the Tristen getting some use again.

I was thinking of using it as well, but with auto cannons. Maybe something like this:

Well, worm can still tank better. But yeah, after ship balance patch small faction stuff looks kinda meh. Oh well, another couple of years and it will shine again Lol

I'm still being amazed by this ship. Yesterday It beat a Talwar and Incursus team solo. After that I took it against a Breacher and Incursus and won as well. It's a very solid ship.

I haven't flown it post retribution yet. I did just pick one up to carry tractors and salvage drones but perhaps I'll give that blaser fit a try with dda

Actually training Gallente Drone Specialisation V just for this ship. Will be an awkwardly long train to get the other specialisations if I choose.

Been using the 400mm plate fit as well. Don't think I have lost against another T1 frigate. Helps to be on the warp in though.

Also like MSE dual DDA fit with 200mm Autos 6.5k EHP and 200dps. Let a couple get away with no web though so swapped back to armour.
