This is question im asking myself these days...

Heres my background.I have been playing this game from 2008. I have lived in highsec, lowsec and 0.0. I have been in corporations that failed and some that were great success. i Have seen small and large alliances.

Personallyall this whining about higsec starts to looklike last years whine about lowsec.
You cant force people to move over. You need to offer opportunities worth it. As i see 0.0 at moment, those opportunitiesallready exists, but are reserved for few choosen elite group of people.

Lets seefew things off my head...

System upgrades:

Yes you have chance to install upgrades in 0.0 system to make them better, better for ratting anomalies, better for mining, better for living in (jump bridges, cyno jammers,etc...)

Jump cabable ships:

Yes, 0.0 as full access to all these aswell.Heck most 0.0 alliance logistics depends on jumpfreighters that take shortcuts throw the space lanes.

Mining:

Ou yes the drooled after ABC ores. So much mined that highend mineral prices are pretty much all time low now days... Thor incoupleore prostpecting system arrays and you have unlimited access to those even insystem that has exactly 0.0 security status.

Moon mining:

Yes everyone and their mother is now hear about technetium and how its needed on every tech2 component out there.. Massive isk faucet everyone? with much lower risk since cartel was formed....


And why i thinkmost of 0.0 is wastland of empty system despite all these wonderfull things:

Lack of content:

Yes ratting and newer ending pvp war gets old fast.

Feudal japan warlords mentality:

Yes,0.0 is ruled by these warlords with their private armies.If your lucky warlord has system inplace to give you new shine ship as long as your dump enough to go fight every time he desides to be greedy and conquer more space your alliance eventually will not even use. I personally have newer seen much point conquering large strips of space if you dont even use them.

Outposts:

Yes the crowjewel of any new alliances logistics and isk generation ability. Expensive to set up,offers convinient storage location for personal ****. What else does it offer? Not much. repair service and insurance, clonebay, of course. For industrial player they offer hardly anything. Bad refineries ( need outpost upgrades to get decent level even), extremely limited amount of manufacturing lines.

So overall this newer ending war combined with ability to loose systems and being lockedout of outposts leads to gameplay in 0.0 that just dosent interest that many players. So clearly there is only one thing ccp can do. Take close hard look at 0.0 space and make changes there. I believe its fashionable nowdays to speak about farms and fields in eve. Want more farms in 0.0? How about some more suport for peasants then? People that dont give rats ass about nullsec politics or ho happen to be flavor of month leader in area this time. Maybe game mechanics to support taxing those peasantsto how ever happens to own system...

Now about these massive strips in space owned but not used.. I would welcome ccp to actually implement tax that progressively increases. Should not be too difficult to code it,heck throw in activity index, if you actually use it, you get small discount. But owning 50 systems where your useing just 2-4 should be much much more expensive. So you would only conquest what you plan on actually useing...

Moon goo depletable, yes implement this. Why? Well PI planets loose consentration of materials over time on over extraction, so whoy should a moon be able tom be mined 24/7 years to come? Heck add those rare stuff to moe moons and make then have consentration levels, if you mine it 24/7 you will eventually run dry, it will recover over time, but takes time...

But more then anything, i believe getting more people in 0.0 is at hands of 0.0 alliances allready. No change ccp might make can replace aliances actually makeing 0.0 more invinting to more people. Its up to us in 0.0 to make this more welcomeing. No amount of nerfing in highsec will force people in 0.0 if things in 0.0 dosent change first. We allready have the keys of kingdom, but sadly so far were fingting at gate how gets to open the gate. Lets just open the gate and go in and make 0.0 place we can be proud of. Place we can go and say: Look what we created out of wasteland you gave us ccp.

This all might be my delusional vision,but i cant help to see that things could be much better in 0.0

in some other thread a read a gem of a thought regarding high sec and i quote "bunch of you are literally playing the game wrong"

so there,you shouldnt play the game wrong,and if you do change how you play asap...

Because some people aren't happy in null, they believe it's all hi-sec fault they are lonely and bored - and not their habit to greet new pilots with gate camps and supercap hotdrops.

TL;DR people refuse to believe their problems caused by themselves.

Newbies are great on gate camps. Sadly we do not yet outfit newbies with supercaps to hotdrop.

I think it mostly comes down to everybody just needs to get laid more.

That being said 0.0 is what they make it, the finger goes squarely on the trigger happy KM shoot'em up hillbillies but that's why 0.0 exist....and low sec....and WH....and war decs.

It's why EVE Online NEEDS NPC corps.

There has been sooo many threads regarding this topic, that I've literally bored of seeing the same thing over and over and over and over again so what I did was : scrolled down to the bottom of this page, didn't read anything then just posted this comment and leave.
