Would this Cane have a better than 50/50 chance vs a C1-3 Anom Tengu?

I have BC 5, Auto Spec 4 etc etc
Cap lasts nearly 4 mins with both Neuts running, 13 mins with just the 1.

Not sure if Warriors will be better than Acolytes?
The EANM is in case he happens to be packing some EM ammo (it happens, but I'm kinda banking on Kin only).

If I don't land within scram range, it's over before it begins. Not going to catch a 600+ m/s AB fit.

The plan is to jump from next door, warp to fleet member, pin it and hope for the best.

I'm starting to think that actually getting tackle might be the hard part.

Comments suggestion welcome.

Drop down your guns to 220s or 180s to get an mwd on there and get rid of the 3 ancillary current routers. If you need more than one fitting item/rig, you should have a very good reason for it and bigger sized guns are not the one.

I put those on there for the 1600mm plate but Ok i'll have a look.

With the 2 now empty rig slots? Trimarks?

1122m/s with MWD currently.

Like so?

Unless you land right on top of him and/or get lucky with sleepers not switching aggro to you, not against a competent one, no.

You need to land near him; C3 tengus will have significantly more tank than C1-C2 Tengus (who are likely to be pure T2 fit). Swap down to Unstable Neuts in the highs (same stats, less powergrid usage, and I think less cap usage, but may be same). Run them off-cycle of each other and you might be able to destabilize his tank if it's a razor margin (41% or under cap stability). I'd try to run with ONE additional person though if you can; that would kill most Tengus in C1-C2 and a lot in C3s.

I'm assuming you have a scout alt or something to get you a landing point or get you into the hole. If you have to solo, just try to get as close as you can to him with as few rats alive as possible.

yes this will kill a pve tengu quite easily if you know what youre doing.
a standard shield cane will too.

Rather than that, it depends on the tengu not know what he's doing...

I think you would do better in a more DPS ship. Perhaps an ASB shield cane with more gank in the lows. Then run one meta4 neut & meta 4 nos. I know it sounds odd, but I've used the neut & nos trick for a while on some PVP ships & found it works well to help buy time & keep your neut going on the enemy longer by not letting your cap go too low before his.

I have seen this work better when your in something small attacking something bigger. I'm not sure if it works the other way around. It could very well just end up a wasted slot.

Other than my suggestion and a couple that others have recommended, I wouldn't even engage a tengu in a solo cane or with 2 ppl. If the guy knows what he's doing he could ruin a few people all together without even leaving the site. In this engagement you're mainly placing your faith in the gamble that it's a newb pilot.
