Is there an up to date mining guide???

Mining ships have changed heaps lately so the old guides are now out of date, So is there a new one or an updated one that I can download a pdf for???

Whats the question? The ships have defined roles now. Use the one that fits the role you mean to fill. Yields are all similar thanks to role bonus's, but the ships can fit different numbers of mining upgrades.

Hulk : Highest yield, but fragile, and tiny hold

Mack : Huge hold, medium hp, one more low for a mining upgrade than the skiff

Skiff : Very high EHP, medium sized ore bay, lowest yield, but not much lower than Mack

The hulk is the only one who's hold is small enough that it needs to be constantly transfered.

The T1 versions have the same roles, just less slots and hp.

I guess just something that has what are the skills needed for perfect mining/hauling/tanking, and some calculations on mining yields. things like is the level 5 mining upgrades skill still not worth training? What should I train to fly/boost in an Orca?

OP is right there is a need for an updated advanced mining guide covering the venture capabilities and the different mining barge roles.

Not sure about mining upgrades lvl 5 , it should help for fitting and obtain that extra bit of tank.

the exact same as the old guides.
none of the skills have changed, merely ship bonuses and attributes. with the exception of older guides reccomending bantams/ospreys to mine in due to the lack of a venture.

simply ignore the section about bantams and ospreys and fly a venture, never bother training mining frigate past I, complete waste of time.

rest of the guide is perfectly fine, except you may need to change the ship bonus numbers but you were going to do your own math with your own skills instead of just reading the numbers randomly dropped in to a guide that may or may not be true. right? right???
