Until CCP drop a whole load more of those implants for their Birthday, yeah I'd not invest in them to be honest.

As owner in another MMO of the 4 last existing (1 "powerful" to say the least) items of their kind in game, I can feel the pain at those who collect stuff just to see the rarity broken and the developers proving to be careless in that respect.

However there was no need for an insider to know these implants would be reseeded. They were not really released as collector items, they are not some State Raven. Quafe is another reseed candidate, the number of those items is just too large to grant to become a true rarity in the next years.

Real collectibles tend to be extremely rare to begin with and / or start as insanely powerful items that the developers stop seeding and usually nerf.

Perhaps you should simply hang on to those implants to see if they go up in value in 6-8 months.

They are around 31-35M a piece now which makes hoarding some hundreds of them a quite cheap investment with very good potential returns.

Of course there's some risk involved, but that's the case most of the time.
