Lets assume after a wormhole site there are lots of wrecks and a noctis/other salvager is needed. What tactics/other ship can be employed to dissuade covops bombers from attacking(apart from aligning fittings for salvager). Would a stand by pvp fitted ship actually help?

This. Whatever you can do alone, can be done an arbitrary number of times better with friends. Assuming they know what they're doing of course.

Instant locking hurricane. Fill the mids with scan res scripted sensor boosters, highs with artillery, and lows with gyros. Half a second after they uncloak they are dead. It also works on Falcons too Pirate.

This. As someone who has fallen victim to the instalock artycane while in a bomber...this.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Instalock artycane works very well, but if you're looking for a dirt-cheap option, instalocking Blackbird or Celestis (or if you're feeling really adventurous or incredibly cheap, instalock Griffin or Maulus) will work pretty well - they can't blow up what they can't lock. Having an artycane backed up by an e-war cruiser is, of course, an even better choice.

Basically, any setup that is very clearly intended to catch and kill stealth bombers. Smart bomber pilots will know the hard counters to their setups, while dumb bomber pilots will try their luck and die horribly, giving you safety and a free T2 killmail.

Pretty much any fast frigate will ruin a Stealth Bomber's day. Use ECM for everything else.

the last time i lived the wormhole life we just kept a couple rr tengus on the noctis to discourage bombers and a couple falcons incase other things poked their heads out oh and a tackle prot/loki depending on who we had on at the time

Oh, Do go on... no seriously ive got nothing better to do then listen to all the petty arguments and feeble trolling attempts...

The sad thing is i'm not sure if i'm telling the truth.

Dramiels & interceptors are the best anti-bomber ships to have. You want awesome sub-warp speed with great acceleration & a fast lock. It may sound odd, but newb frig pilots warp off / freak out when a bomber decloaks & launches a bomb. vets fire up the MWD, burn straight at it & go for tackle.

You should cover plenty of ground to clear the bomb's blast radius, get a fast lock & get in point range to tackle ASAP. The dramiel rocks at this. Next would be interceptors.

Back in the Delve campaign when I was flying with Nulli I had come to love flying stealth bombers, we used them to good effect against the large blobs we fought however in counter Test used insta locking canes to just as good effect to kill us before the bomb could cause any damage. Even if launched if you kill the bomber before the bomb explodes then it causes no damage.
