[ARB-I] A statement on recent events and a change of direction

Welcome to The Arboria Institute


Statement

In light of recent events, The Arboria Institute will now be seeking guidance from the Servant Sisters of Eve and cutting ties with the Serpentis.

I realize now that I have been entirely unethical to call The Arboria Institute a humanitarian organization and in the same sentence claim to be loyal to a group who are nothing more than mass-murderers.

The Sisters have provided, on a personal level, me with guidance in the past and while I largely ignored it due to my age and experience of the universe, I have always trusted The Sisters to be helpful in such times. I hope they will be able to look past my blunder and are able to give advice and support.

To this end we hope to refocus our efforts into providing a thorough logistical and humanitarian service to those who need it. Without any prejudice.

As always our doors are open.

I'd say "and thus the wolf tries to hide as a sheep". Once a criminal, always a criminal. Once a mass murderer, always a mass murderer. Once a Serpent, always a Serpent. You turn to another organization, but this doesn't change the fact that you should answer to the law for your crimes. And, certainly, this "change of guidance" doesn't forgive your sins, your mistakes, nor your deeds.

I remain skeptical ; I agree with Sepherim Catillah on the fact that the snake sheds its skin but keeps its nature. I don't believe in any kind of redemption.

Did anyone talk about murders ? Production, possession or sale of illicit goods, drugs is sufficient enough to be categorized as an outlaw. It is well-known that it's possible to be a scientist and breaking the laws. Whatever are the reasons for your involvement in the Serpentis' cause, it doesn't excuse anything. Take your responsibilities, assume your actions.

I am not sure that this particular God has ever been qualified as forgiving, merciful, and benevolent.

Neither our God is benevolent, merciful nor forgiving, neither I am God to have his wisdom and farsight. I am just a man, just a soldier.

And Elleren may only be a scientist, but your investigations have been financed by the Serpentis and used to further their goals. You may not have been the gun that shot the laser ray, but you were certainly one of the many fingers keeping it steady.

While I still distrust you for your previous allegiance to the Serpentis I appreciate your change in direction....lets hope you may find redemption withing the Sister of EVE.
