  • AAR 04-10-2011 Delve T-01:22 : Quotan [RDNT.] : FLEET 3 : BOMBER PILOT

  • We formed up in the bomber squad and BLOPS jumped into FM - we set up station Observation points and watched the 300 Goons arrive and proceed to bash our station, which was into armour.

Manks Girl joined the fleet and we proceeded to pick off scouts as we could as we bounced around celestials looking for easy targets while our station was being ruined. Quite depressing.

  • AAR 04-10-2011 Delve T-00:20 : Beppe [RDNT.]: FLEET 1 – BATTLESHIP PILOT

  • We began forming up in 1DH for the CTA and I had a choice between flying a Hellcat or a Pulse Geddon. I chose the Hellcat and loaned Inquisitor Maul my Geddon, and we sat there for about 40 minutes waiting while the FC kept asking for more Logistics.

Finally, after much anticipation and surprisingly good comms-discipline (and having to reassure new fleet members that we wouldn't be standing down) the order came to take the bridge.

  • AAR 04-10-2011 Delve T+03:35 : Mahoosiv [RDNT.] : FLEET 2 – AHAC PILOT

  • Short range AHAC's - approximately 60 mixed Munins (I flew one) and Zealots with Guardian support, some fast tackle and a comedy DRAKE who was told not to come and ignored the advice.

We hung around on the undock for a while in 1DH until Archie called for us to get on the titan and prep to bridge out. At this point the HAC pilots were all like 'yeah whatever - this can probably only end badly'.

Bridging into system we were met by 300+ Goons in local (plus oddments) and immediately warped to the field with dire warnings from Archie ringing in our ears about "turning brackets off" "getting on the anchor at 2500" and "keeping ab's on" - the net result of not following any of those actions would be a swift demise...

So we warped into a hostile fleet at around 10k much to Archies annoyance who after we had picked off a couple near targets - warped us off and instructed one of our tackle to get a 'closer bloody warp in ... now!'

  • AAR 04-10-2011 Delve T+03:40: Paridav [RDNT.] : FLEET 1 – GUARDIAN PILOT

  • After jumping into the system the whole fleet warped to planet and we (or they) landed a bit off each other. Initially the alpha from the maels was very high and reps were not keeping up. There were about 22 guardians with fleet 1. Fleet members were also broadcasting stupidly and logistics were flooded with broadcasts, most of which were too late. We lost few ships in this confusion.

Logistics were supposed to orbit the anchor at 10 with AB on. The anchor did not do a good job of keeping us in range of the fleet (it turns out his systems had frozen) and after a couple of minutes we were almost 80k off the fleet and out of rep range. At this time we lost a decent portion of our fleet including our FC…

  • AAR 04-10-2011 Delve T+15:22: Beppe [RDNT.] : FLEET 1 – BATTLESHIP PILOT

  • With that many people jumping, it took a while to load, but as soon as we did we were told to warp to a certain planet.

The red fleet was there, and the FC immediately began target calling. As soon as I started locking the first primary, I noticed about 5 enemy Maelstroms yellow-boxing me, so I broadcast for reps. My shield drops to nothing and I start taking armor damage. By this time, most of the enemies my overview is showing me were red-boxing me and I was debating whether I should broadcast for armor again (because I know logistics hate it when people spam). I noticed that most of the fleet seemed to be spamming for armor, so I decided that my broadcast had gotten lost in the spam. I clicked "Needs Armor" one more time hoping they'd see it this time, but it was too late.

10 seconds later I was in my pod caught between two bubbles. An enemy drake was kind enough to send me on the pod express.

  • AAR 04-10-2011 Delve T+15:35 : Mahoosiv [RDNT.] : FLEET 1 – AHAC PILOT

  • We were all slightly stunned when our tackler landed us a warp-in INSIDE their blob and we warped in – - and proceeded to dercimate Goons left right and centre. Against our small sig HACS so close they had no effective counter - plus we were mostly dual tracking disruptor fitted too - we lost perhaps 1 HAC at this time.

Taking down the red Scorpions and Logistics was our primary task, until we realised they finally got their **** together and so we started to pop Maelstroms instead - about now Archie, our FC, started to suffer some weird desynch issues and had to get someone else to call targets for a little.

The red fleet moved away from us so Archie fleet warped us off the field and got the tackle guy to do another suicide run (not so suicide as it happened!) and once more we warped into the blob - much to our delight.

  • AAR 04-10-2011 Delve T+16:01: Paridav [RDNT.] : FLEET 1 – GUARDIAN PILOT

  • A new target caller was appointed and the logistics switched to a new anchor. The fleet bounced off to get back on the Maels at 0 and at this point reps started holding and we were putting out good dps on them. In my opinion, this is the point Goons lost the will to fight as they were bubbled and both AHAC and Battleship fleets were right on top of them.

  • AAR 04-10-2011 Delve T+17:55: Inquisitor Maul [RDNT.] : FLEET 1 - BATTLESHIP PILOT

  • I made it to the battle with no trouble in my loaned Geddon, loaded some ammo and started blasting away at anything broadcasted and made sure I had my Pay-attention-mods overheated. Our FC was taken down along with a bunch of friendlies before we even got sorted but once the reserve-FC took over and our Logistics made it into range, we started killing Scorps and later Maelstroms like there was no tomorrow. My guns cycled PERFECTLY and I managed to get a shot on almost every target there was and the ECM that was boxing me never got any luck so my guns blazed away happily all through the battle.

  • AAR 04-10-2001 Delve T+19:55 : Beppe [RDNT.] : FLEET 1 – NOW WOLF PILOT

  • I was sufficiently dejected that my nice shiny never-used Hellcat had died before I could even get a shot off (did I mention I was getting jammed too?), so I decided to reship into a Wolf and fly to the Titan again. Luckily I caught a really quick bridge and I was on the field again. I began flying around pointing/shooting everything that moves. Still irked about my Hellcat, I made sure that those damn pods felt my wrath, and if I noticed a Mael burning out of a bubble, I would point it and hold it until the main fleet popped it. I WAS A VENGEFUL WOLF!

Someone in the enemy fleet wised up and put drones on me, but he died before I got into structure. Broadcast once for armor and some nameless but amazing logi pilot (thanks Paridav) put me up to full again.

  • AAR 04-10-2001 Delve T+22:33 : Paridav [RDNT.] : FLEET 1 – GUARDIAN PILOT

  • While the bubbles and AHAC gang held the goons, Fleet 1 warped out and rewarped in to close the distance and continued to kill re-warping on the goons at 0 and we killed a lot of them. Beppe in the meantime managed to broadcast for armor reps in a Wolf vov!

By this time, all the Battleships had exhausted their cap boosters and were running dangerously low on cap. As the enemy fleet had left the field, we switched to kill the SBUs. The Guardians helped out by handling cap requests for the fleet during the SBU kill.

  • AAR 04-10-2001 Delve T+25:05 : Quotan & Vessigaud [RDNT.] : FLEET 3 – BOMBER PILOTS

  • Although not part of the main carnage, the Bomber fleet was now being led by Manks Girl and was watching all the celestials. We repeatedly caught Battleships that had escaped the main fight by warping to a celestial and were only too happy to take them out with our pack of kill hungry Stealth Bombers.

Although not part of the main carnage I think we did a pretty good job.

  • AAR 04-10-2011 Delve T+35:35 : Mahoosiv [RDNT.] : FLEET 1 – AHAC PILOT

  • This time Archie started to get a bit pissed with us as we were popping battleships faster than he could target ("For fucks sake guys - will you at least let me get a shot in?") - at this point I think the red FC had an issue and half their fleet warped off leaving a smaller number behind which we quickly decimated and then went on a pod killing spree. ("Clean up those pods messing up the field please")

Seriously it was at the point where we having to target 3 in advance and as soon as the guns had cycled we were on to the next one, it was ridiculously easy to pop the Alpha fleet and use my 2 light missiles to clean pods up at the same time.

We found the fleet again and another tackle warped us in - limited success this time as they started to warp, so we chased them around a bit and finally went and assisted the big boys killing the SBU's.

  • AAR 04-10-2011 Delve T+37:55: Inquisitor Maul [RDNT.] : FLEET 1 - BATTLESHIP PILOT

  • After that, the main battle was done. It was pretty much a cleanup ops and after some more chasing the reds we started blasting the SBU and killed the first one quick despite some bombers trying to make life hard on ours and the other fleets.

After some blasting on the second SBU the call was made to head for home since it seems the Goons didn't appreciate our kicking their arses (by bringing whelps and Supers) so we headed home in good order and docked up.

  • AAR 04-10-2011 Delve T+90:05: Weebear [RDNT.] : FLEET 4 – CARRIER PILOT

  • The clock was ticking and the EU Timezone was nearly exhausted. Pilots were logging off and the decision was made to hand over to the next Time zone and new FC's with new objects. Just as the Ardent Spirits thought we were going to bed, out came the call we'd been waiting for since we arrived in Delve.

    “CARRIER CTA NOW !”
