it happend only on amarr militia becons so far.
When fight start, fps drops to 1 frame per second, sometimes on screen i have strange vertical bars - i died because of that couple of times.
It is only on becons, in normal space or on massive fleet fights there are not such issue so i think it can be exploit.

graphic sets -> min as possible, cashe cleared.
normaly game works fast and this only happend to me couple of times on militia becons. When ship explodes fps back to normal.

there have been reports that ships explosions and clouds cause big problems on some configurations.

Go to the video settings and disable explosions, particle trail, drone effects..etc until ther's a fix ( I only keep 'effects' and 'turret effects' on to just see sensors and a few stuffs)

I think something has changed, but I am not sure what. I run 2 instances of the game displayed on 2 monitors. Until recently I would always get 30 - 60fps on both with max settings, and it never really went outside those limits regardless of where I was, or what I was doing. Now it is all over the place.

Yesterday I was moving through space and had 49fps (main) and 60fps (secondary). Arrived at a mission with a hazy cloud around a complex and a few rats. FPS dropped to 6fps (main) and 10fps (secondary). I warped out, lowered the graphics settings, went back and got the same low performance.

As I said, this is only happening recently.

Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1 (7601.win7sp1_gdr.120830-0333)
Processor: AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 955 Processor (4 CPUs), ~3.2GHz
Memory: 16384MB RAM
DirectX Version: DirectX 11
Card name: AMD Radeon HD 7800 Series
Driver Date/Size: 9/28/2012 01:41:40, 1120768 bytes
Description: Speakers (Creative SB X-Fi)
Display (main): 1920 x 1200
Display (secondary): 1680 x 1050

*EDIT*
I've been back to some of the missions. It is not the rats or the complicated asteroid shape. It is the bright glowing haze that surrounds the complex in some missions.

I did 2 mining missions. One had no haze around the roid complex, and I got over 30fps on both screens. The next one had a very bright purple / white glow around it, and the fps fell below 10 on both.

ok i diagnose this problem more accurate.
it is problem with loading meshes or testures to the graphic card.
sometimes it just cant load propertly but it try again and again - and sometimes it even load.

but because it try again and again fps drops dramaticaly.
