Overview Setup Issues

o/ First of all sorry if this is the wrong part of the forum.

Now... I recently reset all my EVE settings due to some annoying bug I was getting and I stupidly forgot to export my overview settings before I did. Since setting up my overview again I have come across an issue that each overview tab is now sharing the same appearance settings (Colour Tag and Background of ships that appear in the overview) and no matter what I do when I change them on one tab it changes them on all the tabs.

Does anyone know how to work around this? It never used to be like this before I reset my settings and I can't figure it out at all.

As far as I've always known it to be, the settings under the Appearance Tab have always operated as Global only as you are describing. I sure would like to know how you got that customized for each user created Overview Tab, and also, why one would need different ones for different Tabs as well would be nice to know what the advantage could be.

Huh. I was never able to get it to work that way. But they have changed so much about the Overview (and hidden the Target Crosshairs option there now instead of the Escape Menu General Settings). This does not sound game-breaking, but I'd file a Petition to see what the response was, if this was intended or an oversight when remaking the Overview.

To my knowledge, the only properties NOT SHARED GLOBALLY from tab to tab is what type of entities apear. Things like players in alliance, players in corporation, wartargets, wrecks, gate guns, how entities are sorted when more than one type apears, etc. can be toggled for each tab independently, but things like standings color, wether the standings tag/entinty line blinks, small/large standing tag, etc are all global. This is how it has worked both prior to and after Retribution.

appearance was always global

Appearance etc settings have always been global.
The only local things for your taps is the filters that you select for each overviews tab.

Might want to take a look at Louis's epic Overview Settings v1.1 and the eve university guide.

Thanks guys, yeah the option I was looking for was in the states section of the Filters tab rather than the appearance tab x.x feeling like such a noob but thanks for all the help =)
