Hey guys, I'm living in a Nullsec area with rogue drones. I live mostly for PvP but I'd like to rat for spare income. I tried out doing anoms today and I found that firstly, anything belows "Drone squad" is pathetic isk, and Drone Hords are really tough, however the payout seems pretty good in comparison. The problem is, using an Armageddon with explosive hardeners, etc, I get ripped to pieces.
My friends tell me to do Drone Hordes, I need to use a carrier (don't like the idea of ratting in a carrier, nor can I anyways) or use Faction fit BS, or Tech III's.

Some mentioned using a sniper Fit Apocalypse, or better yet Navy Apocalypse. I was wondering what you guys think, as I don't have too much experience with these rats, or much PvE in general. I can fly an Apoc and using Tachylon II's, is sitting 100km away from the Horde and sniping them a feasible way to do Drone Hordes? And if so could I get away doing it with an Apoc as opposed to navy issue?

What about using T3's? I am training for the legion right now so that will be a viable option in the near future.

Tl;dr, Apocalypse Sniper fit for Drone Hordes feasible/worth-while?
