Returning Player - Looking to get into a Raven for Level 4s

I've been gone since 2009 with long absents before then, the last thing I was doing was flying a drake in Level 3s. Currently I'm flying a 'cane in level 3s that started out of doing it for the lulz and turned into something it does faster then the drake.

Anyway I wanted to take a stab at level 4s in a Raven I've had stored before building a mining character as a fresh start. I know I have a bunch of holes that I need to fill, but things have changed since I last played.

I've heard of setups like these. The idea being to do as much damage as possible to lesion the incoming damage. Downloaded and been messing with the EFT tool. Sold the raven hull so I won't be tempted to do something stupid with it. That and I <3 the Noctis which is more useful for me right now.

Take my advice and don't fall into the hardcore missioner trap. Buy a Rohk, Tempest, or armor/shield Megathron for incursions, if you have shield skills which I assume you do from the information you provided. Incursions are by far more profitable than lvl4 missions, and much funnier in my opinion.

Incursions give a lot of ISK after the site is completed, and some CONCORD LPs. You need a fleet to complete them however, and local reps don't work; you need T2 logi cruisers. If your flying shield, join the "The Valhalla Project" channel. If your flying armor, join the "The Ditanian Fleet" channel.

The inhabitants of those channels will help you out. Also, incursions make a lot of ISK fast, leaving a lot of time for PvP in shiny ships.
