Are you aware of the fact that in the tiericide process the manufacturing costs of many ships went up by a lot.

Before the cheapest frigates cost about 30K-40K ISK to manufacture each, now that cost is in the range of 300K - 350K ISK. The expensive ones cost close to half a million to make. The same is true for cruisers, they all cost about the same to make now.

That's one major factor on the rising price of the ships.

Tiericide has only hit frigs and cruisers. Yet before the changes, you could score a domi or typhoon (battleships) for under 60 million - they now cost over 100. Hurricanes have doubled in price. Tier 3 battleships are now close to 200 mill. The current battleship prices are horrendous and something needs to be done to make them more affordable.

Jita prices, right now:

Maelstroms are going for 210 million
Hurricanes are going for 45 million
Dominixi are going for 92 mill

Over the last 6 months, those prices are fairly level.

So, exactly when did a Hurricane go for 22.5 mill?

why should it? i'm still yet to see a convincing argument as to why ship prices are "broken" and why they should be "fixed"

if i'm going to the effort of probing down grav sites, they better have asteroids with like 50k m3 per rock then.

So instead of moving belts into grav sites, how about you have to use the system scanner to find them? You do the same thing with FW plexes

So overall if ships are 1/3rd the price, and three times the ships get blown up, Indies also make exactly the same.

PVP may increase, but not by such close proportions to ship price. Even if ships were free, there would still be ppl who dn't pvp all the time, and those who dnt pvp at all.

cheap ships are good for combat pilots, but not good for indies

If your building more ships in less time then doesn't it have no effect at all?

assuming that ships sell quickly then it would have less of an impact. if demand diminished because ppl weren't losing ships as fast as ppl were building them then it would have a negative impact upon indies

EVE FAQ "7.2 CAN I AVOID PVP COMPLETELY? No; there are no systems or locations in New Eden where PvP may be completely avoided"

i actually like the idea of having to probe them down, i know for a fact the sov upgrade sites in 0.0 can be done with a minimal of skills (i was probing down small med and i think large sites with nothing but astrometrics II).
however, i don't want the grav sites to be carbon copies of current asteroid belts because quite frankly they're abhorrent, give us fewer, larger, asteroids and it'll be perfect.

As everyone knows, the mineral supply in Eve has gone to pot. While before players could spend a couple of days bearing to finance a fortnights PVP, the obscene price of ships (due to the obscene price of high-end ore) nowadays has made that impossible.
…and yet, the mineral that has gone up in price to any degree is Tritanium — available in vast quantities in low-end ores — and ship prices are about the same now as they were when I started and trit cost 3 ISK a pop.

So no, I don't think “everyone knows” that since it goes counter to many people's experiences.
