I too am playing Dust on my PC daily for 1.5 months already and it's extremely fun. Oh, wait, that's Planetside 2!

Well, I'm looking forward for Dust PC release on April, 1st. There will be 3rd person view and TV show about the game. Oh, wait - that's Defiance!

Too bad Dust will arrive on PCs 1.5 years too late to be taken seriously.

Yes. It shows, too. Unlike a lot of games that go through beta, Dust is transformed by the player feedback it receives. The game has come a long way, and it has even further to go. Smile

That would be a complete change from CCP's normal stance wouldn't it?

Nope.

It's pretty safe to say that since Incarna they're damn near taking all of our feedback. At least as far as specifics go. We of course can't influence which projects they do or how they do them or how fast they can get them done. But they're slowly but surely fixing every little thing we've asked for.

Still no mention of a PC version, so they've only been listening to the feedback that suits them, which is about par for the course.

Haha. It's a parody video of all the terrible CoD montages (which is a bit of redundant statement...).

Just because it hasn't been mentioned doesn't mean that it isn't coming. Blink

Because Eve is of course dying and wont be relevant in a few years as well?
Even if it eventually comes to PC in 2 years, or even 3. That's 3 years of progress along side of EvE newer than when it was first released. No port is going to be "outdated". Then in 5 years, Dust trinity and boosh, another half decade.

If I had a PS3 I would definitely be on Dust now. I hear a lot of good things from the people who have been trying, especially with recent updates anyway.

You mean like how the player base chooses to ignore the very valid reasons they have for not doing so at this time?

Par for the course indeed. Smile

I played dust, it was "MEH"

I'd rather play Planetside, or BF3. Hell, even Farcry3 or Black ops 2 was more fun.

The system is cool, and its fun setting up loadouts, but when it comes down to it, the twitch action gameplay doesn't live up to a FPS, and thats the core of what makes a FPS good or bad.

Just like many other groups CCP is considering PC players as a joke in terms of profitability, but they forgot which community made them grow.

I must have missed the memo where they were planning to stop developing EvE.... or the one where they said they would never create a PC version after establishing themselves in the console games market.

I did try the expansion, it was fun for about a week until everyone worked out the mechanics. Now it's back to the same old...

And if you honestly think CCP does anything due to your feedback, you need to back off the meds.
It's all about $, they are finally reacting to two years of slop, and actually trying to fix stuff. (It took a 25% drop on players online over the last two years to get them to do it)

So, they fixed a bunch of bugs that have been in the game for years, and called it an expansion, good start, hope it's not too late. But don't sit here and blow smoke up people's butts that everything is great.... What?

So if they ignore issues that need to be fixed it is a bad thing.
And if they respond to player input and fix issue that players have pointed out, it is also a bad thing?

WE are the ones that asked them to focus their expansions on fixing bad mechanics, code bugs, and flesh out whole area's of the game where the mechanics weren't working as intended.

We insisted that was where their emphasis needed to be... so if you want to point fingers to assign blame for less new Jesus features in favor of making what we have work better, best to start by pointing them at yourself.

I post on the Test Server Forum frequently. Development teams, in fact, do listen to player feedback. Many of the features and updates included in Retribution were shaped by player feedback. Those involved in the feedback process know this firsthand.

CCP is a business, so I expect them to do what's in their best interests while also satisfying their playerbase. (Because as nearly everyone on this forum knows, if they don't satisfy their playerbase, they are doomed.) By the way, it wasn't a 25% drop in the subscriber base. It was, in fact, an 8% drop. EVE has never seen a 25% loss in its subscriber base. (Source)

Congratulations. You have no idea what you're talking about.
