Issues, Workarounds & Localization

I did a skim through a few pages of the forum, couldn't find anything that seemed like it's the same problem.

I tried installing the Singularity server a few days ago (a buddy of mine is in the Dust beta) to see about... Well I think you know where that's going. I've logged on to Tranquility twice since then, and both times the client behaves as if I had only just downloaded it to this computer. Upon logging in, the intro video plays. Kinda lame that I can't skip it, but it's important for new players I guess. I load up my toon once it's finished, and find that all of my menus/module/overview settings have been completely reset.

I'll shut down the client once I finish the long trip to Jita and see if it continues to happen repeatedly. Assuming it does, what would the cause be and how can I fix this?
