PVE Battleship - Lasers and Shields

I like Lasers. And I like Shields.

If I were to build a Battleship (standard or faction), what would be my best choice for fitting a shield tank and lasers? Any example fits?

That looks cool and definitely fits the job description, although I just heard my wallet fall down and die :D

Well guess I'll have to chalk it up and start saving. Any suggestions among the standard battleships or even battlecruisers?

Unfortunately, there really is no alignment between shields, battleships, and lasers safe for the Nightmare. Almost all turreted ships tend to favor armor, save the Nightmare, Rokh, and the Gank fit Vindicator. Obviously, lasers only has one option amongst the three.

Work on Amarrian ships and the skills needed to use them for the time being. When you are proficient in using Amarrian battleships, switch to Caldari ships and shield tanking.

Also note that some Amarrian ships CAN be shield tanked to great effect (examples include, but are not limited to; Harbinger and Apocalypse).

How did you Veterans start?

And why not? i shield tank even my navy geddon, it leaves much more room for heatsinks and track enchancers.

I remember the days when Shield tanked Tachyon Apocs used to be a fleet comp.

Fun times.
