Quote:
The supporters we received for the EVE Online Ships – Rifter project allowed us to examine the feasibility of another gaming-related product. However the Rifter presented a more challenging business case when considered alongside other potential products in this Review period. Therefore, the LEGO Review Board has decided that this project does not meet the requirements for the business case.
Does this mean that the Rifter project is still viable in a future review cycle? Perhaps another business case can be made where there are not competing "gaming-related" products on the table.

So CUUSOO choose a product developed by a collaborator of CUUSOO. Surely that will increase confidence in the fairness of CUUSOO. Lol

I feel something terrible has happened.

It's as if over 9000 EVE LEGO fans cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced.

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

stupid cuusoo and their unorganized site and techniques...

also, when did they even say they would only choose 1 out of the 4 designs? That's lazy and stupid.

I will go back to my 2001 Bionicle sets lego, not buying anything else other than a star wars master set Y-Wing from you guys now...

It's a very polite way of saying there's no way in hell they'd be able to market anything Eve-related to any age group involving minors.

I'm quite sure it went bit like this;

"Back to the Future, everyone knows the brand, will sell more boxes. Oh, and it's a small model so it can be sold at a cheap price point"

"EVE Online? What's that? Some niche game... and this is a large model with tons of bricks used, making it expensive, ensuring that less copies of the product would be sold (so per-design overhead would have to be sunk into the price of less units)... naaah"

Fairly simple case, really...

Yeah, you make a fair point. Doesn't make me any less disappoint, though.

Tell someone you love them today, because life is short. But scream it at them in Esperanto, because life is also terrifying and confusing.
