So how do you guys probe out missioners in a busy system? With all the traffic coming on and out?

When he undocks you quickly scan him with pre-setup probes setup on the undock of the station and take note of his sig reference (forget the name) eg FHZ-66 etc.

That won't change until he does a session change. Then when he has warped off do a big ranged scan and the same sig reference will show up which you can probe out.

In a busy high population hub, most of them are gonna be sent out of system.

If it's in the middle of nowhere, it's probably a missioner. If it's near a station or gate, it'll be on the station or gate when you focus in.

Unless something has changed within the last few weeks, that Hull ID doesn't change until DT.

We find the bulk of the missions via Dotlan Maps with the filter set to NPCs killed. This gives you a number based on the last 1 hour API figures so it is quite accurate in terms of where the mission runners (MRs) are being sent. At that point, set your probes out in a 7 or 8 probe group with filter set for BS, BC, Marauders, Elite BS, & T3. You can scan at about 8 AU near the center of the system and start picking up "yellows", followed by 100% hits with reasonable skill. Get a couple of bkmrks, then go invade.

If you're in it for the loot & salvage money, go to Caldari space where all the bots and mission alts are. You'll be constantly ignored and can just do as you will with the often abandoned missions. If you're in it to harvest MRs and their blingy mods, Gallente space and Minmatar space seem to have more actual MRs. If you want to learn the profession, we're recruiting once again and we'd be happy to see an app. Just one ninjas experience, but there you are.
