CCP: Time to relook at Capital roles? *NEW* Modulars.

After the years of changes hopefully we can make this the last big change needed for long while. TITANS, SUPERS, CARRIER
and lost DREADS.


Here are my ideas which I have looked over and think this is the path we should set for all capitals. Just to make our life that litte bit more intersting for the pew pew..

TITANS: Fathers of the fleet, the biggest of the big. The (Avatar-Leviathan-Erebus-Ragnarok)
The new roles for the TITANS would be base on Movements, Support and Modulars EWAR (TIMERS).

Movement - Reblance the clone bay fit 50 clones and 50 Battlecruisers. Awaken in space and fit up!
Movement -- Non-warping change is being looked into. You longer can warp this ship (MUST BE JUMPED-DRIVED.) & (MUST JUMP TO SAFE SPOTS)

Support - Gang link area modules made into one time effects (E-WAR -> Timer Base Effects)
MUST USE UPGRADE HIT POINTS IN ORDER TO PLACE THEM ON YOUR TITANS AND HIGH SLOT FOR THE MODULAR.
Area of effects of the EWAR on non-fleet or all ships, are base on timers one time effect on your ships.

CAPITAL SIZE MODULARS - WILL UPDATE AT A LATER TIME.
NOTE: Capital Modulars will effect all ships including capital ships.
Cooldown time on all Modulars 20 minutes, and effects your ships for *ONE* minute.
Cooldown timer on your ship will be showen on top and will only effect your ship once every 20 minutes.

Can fit Energy Neutralizer Range
ENR - 100% removel of area ships of capacitor capacity. (One Minute Recharge Delay)
Can fit ECM Jammer Range
ECM-JR -- 100% unable to lock any targets. (One Minute Lockable Delay)
Can fit Warp Disruptor Range
WDR --- 100% warp drive blocker all ships. (One Minute Delay Warp Drive)
Can fit Stasis Webifier Range
SWR ---- 100% removel of movement. (One Minute Delay)
Can fit Supercharge Destruction
SCD ---- 200% Area of Effect damage to all ships on grid "friend or foe"
NOTE: Self Destruct must be ON, before you can turn the Supercharge Destruction Active.

GANG AREA LINK MODULARS (FLEET ONLY) - WILL UPDATE AT A LATER TIME.
Overheating - 100% bounes to overheating active modulars.


TITANS - INFORMATION


Avatar Titan Skill Bonuses:
100% bonus to Capital Energy Turret damage per level
REMOVED --> (7.5% bonus to gang members' capacitor recharge rate per level)
REMOVED --> (99% reduction in CPU need for Warfare Link modules)
99% reduction in CPU need for Gang Area Link modules -> ADDED
Can fit Energy Neutralizer Range-> ADDED
Can fit Judgement Super Weapon
Can fit Supercharge Destruction-> ADDED
REMOVED -->Can fit Jump Portal Generator
Can fit Clone Vat Bay
Can fit 1 additional gang area link module per level
--Immune to all forms of Electronic Warfare of Non-Capital-Modulars. <- Changed

Leviathan Titan Skill Bonuses:
125% bonus to Citadel Missile kinetic damage per level
REMOVED --> 7.5% bonus to gang members’ maximum shield HP per level
REMOVED --> 99% reduction in CPU need for Warfare Link modules
99% reduction in CPU need for Gang Area Link modules -> ADDED
Can fit ECM Jammer Range-> ADDED
Can fit Oblivion Super Weapon
Can fit Supercharge Destruction-> ADDED
REMOVED -->Can fit Jump Portal Generator
Can fit Clone Vat Bay
Can fit 1 additional gang area link module per level
--Immune to all forms of Electronic Warfare of Non-Capital-Modulars.<- Changed

Erebus Titan Skill Bonuses:
100% bonus to Capital Hybrid Turret damage per level

99% reduction in CPU need for Gang Area Link modules -> ADDED
Can fit Warp Disruptor Range-> ADDED
Can fit Aurora Ominae Super Weapon
Can fit Supercharge Destruction-> ADDED
REMOVED -->Can fit Jump Portal Generator

Can fit 1 additional gang area link module per level

Ragnarok Titan Skill Bonuses:

You can't even spell Titans properly, I hardly trust you to make a decision.

Also Levis and Avatars would become the new IWIN BUTTAN, Neut off the hics or EWAR them, not to metion the blapping power the stasis webifier AOE gives.

Thanks for pointing out some stuff, corrected. Far as Neuted Hics? Then us the Interdiction Sphere Launchers on the ships, dont need cap. Far as other range weapons it's all base on timers, Only effects your ship once hour, for one min.

For one Titan on grid. However, major powerblocks tend to have several Titans. The highest count i've witnessed so far were 75 Titans on directional during formup.

If you jump these 75 Titans into battle and cycle your new capital ewars, then... well. Since Avatar and Erebus count is kinda high, you'd perma tackle all hostile supers / whole fleet while keeping them capped out, greatly reducing their ability to tank.


I LIKE the idea though that there should be capital ewar modules able to penetrate even ewar-immune ships - besides Bubbles, Infinitypoint and ECCM Burst.


So what might be interesting would be capital stasis webifiers and ECM modules. Thing currently is, supercapitals have enormous sensor strength without really needing it. So if you would introduce an ECM module that would be strong enough to affect supercaps, it would perma jam every subcapital.

Solution is simple, drop supercap's sensor strenghts to normal levels, since they could be affected by capital modules only anyways. So no fear of falcons outjamming a titan. That way, a capital ECM module would be able to jam supers efficiently while also being not-overpowered when jamming subcaps.

Only effects your ship once hour, for one min. ONLY thing I could see this not working if you use it on your fleet before you go in to battle. Shocked Then other titains wont beable to use them on you, so maybe we should down the times to 20 or 30 mins instead.

even though it sort of applies, I think that your ideas to rebalance supercaps just with introducing Titan changes showcases how daft it is, primarily for reasons that have already been stated.

I'd just remove the titan-bridge and the ewar immunity, though give them a very high sensor-strength, increase the clone bay capacity, and at 50% more damage to what they currently deal.

Supercarriers would also get the ewar immunity/ high sensor strength treatment as titans, plus gain a module that allows them to pull subcaps with them at the expense of increased fuel costs (a fleet mechanic; supercarrier and supcaps must be in a squad together, and only that squad can jump).

On second thought, also giving titans the same module would be further encouragement to bring them to the fight, so that alliances that require the catherding tactics of titan-bridging are not so much in a shock, though now instead of flinging hundreds to thousands of pilots to their doom over and over they would instead have to operate a ferry service where sometimes the ferry would have to shoot back when it gets pinned down.


Even though I dislike this thread's idea, I like mine and thus will give the OP a like but still say "no" to this concept.
