Exploration Career Path: Hacking Tutorial does not start on accepting "Radar Site Scanning" mission

we've had a number of Bug Reports informing us of a problem with the Hacking tutorial not starting when it's supposed to. This is important because you need the Civilian Codebreaker module to complete a mission in the Exploration career path. It occurs like so:

  1. Player starts Exploration career with career agent
  2. Player plays through the missions until they are offered one called "Radar Site Scanning"
  3. The description informs that when the mission is accepted at tutorial will open and this tutorial will give you a 'Civilian Codebreaker' and teach you how to use it
  4. Player accepts mission but tutorial does not start as promised
  5. The mission cannot be completed because the tools and knowledge required are missing

We've investigated and can't find anything wrong in the code so we'll have to re-write how this tutorial starts in future, it will be a few weeks before a solution which stops this from happening makes it to Tranquility Sad

Luckily there is a workaround to this problem if it is blocking you:

  1. Press F12 to open Help
  2. Select the Tutorials tab
  3. Under "Mini Professions" select the tutorial "Hacking"
  4. So long as you have never run this tutorial before it should give you the codebreaker and you can continue

Sorry if you had the misfortune to be affected by this, please share the workaround steps if you spot anyone in Help/Rookie Help chat channels who gets stuck with this issue.
