I deal with books and is the receptionist at a large second hand store, the feeling when you find a book from the 1800's in a box that someone handed in is amazing. Smile

Nah, more like

Stupidly rich guy / large company goes into an investment bank
"Hey I have too much money and want to open a bacon factory in Saudi Arabia. Is this a good idea?"
Then after the bankers have looked at them for being total idiots they might say yes then they come to us and ask.
"This stupidly rich idiot has too much money, we want some of their money, is their idea good?"

Then we come back and tell them no and why. We dont offer investment advice, but warn about the risks involved due to war / religion / politics / future potential disasters.

We're not accountants, we sign off / warn against large investments for the insurers and underwriters so if it all goes pear shaped they know who to blame. (not us, but the idiots who advised them to do this)

In the financial world we're paid to be honest and this is a bloody rare thing.

Just give them more and they stop bitching for a while Big smile

kinda makes me quite disgusted seeing the wreck of a husk of a human being that these addicts become. people doing the job of treating them are quite the heroes tbh.

Oh..wow..thank you.

Alas no 1st edition dickens has passed my desk as of yet, but a 4th edition book about the dangers of liqour and the devils temptions in such things. Quite a fun read actually, impossible to take serious.Lol
Oh and a very nicely illustrated bible, it was in quite good condition. Worth some 500 swedish kronor to the right person or antiquarium, i think we sold it for some 300..What?

Oh yeah, I'm proud of my earlier jobs as a restaurant busboy and a fast food worker. The fast food one was at a drive-in movie theatre. While I was inside making burgers and popcorn, my friends were out in their cars doing all kinds of prohibited stuff. Some actually watched the movie, I guess. Anyway, they got fed well. Smile
