Welcome to the official thread for the First Annual Yulai Fireworks Display!

My name is Elythiel, and I love fireworks. That should be a given. When I saw that we are actually getting real usable fireworks in the game, I was ecstatic. I can't wait until the 27th! But then I had an even better idea than just using them up. Why not make a big spectacle that everyone can enjoy?

So that's just what I'm doing.

The display will be held in the Yulai system (exact location to be determined), and it will take place on New Years Eve at exactly 0:00 server time. As you can tell from the title of the event, I'm hoping to organize this in the years coming as well, provided this one goes well and people like it.

Help me out! What I need most is ideas. How should I set it up? Patterns? Positions? Lasers?

Please contact me if you would like to donate your stash of fireworks on the 27th, as that would be a BIG help. And the more launchers I can get my hands on, the more options I will have for the display. I will also need pilots that can field beam lasers on a ship that can hold 7 or 8 turrets. Thanks. :) Someone else also mentioned him to me, but couldn't tell me if he still played or was still into organizing displays of this sort. I'll shoot him a message and see if he replies!

Also, on SiSi, I once saw a formation of 5 dominix's creating a pentagram by pointing their nosferatu modules, or something similar, on eachother. It looked pretty cool.
The nosferatus look different now, I think target painting is visually similar to what they used to look like. See if you can find some corps making figures or writing like that, would be nice.

I used to be part of a flight club, doing "aerobatics" and formations. In my opinion there's not enough time to prepare for a show like that, sadly, but if you can find some pilots willing to try anyway, I can provide them with some advice and maybe assist with their practice.
