Buddy program - Get PLEX cheaper, 1 month alt and now a rare ship

Hello,

I was thinking about this and I can't see how it's avoidable.. A PLEX costs around 20 euros, 1 month subscription costs about 15 euros. If one were to say.. Create a few trial accounts and pay for subscription via the buddy system then theoretically you could make a 25% saving on PLEX + a nice throwaway alt for a month..? If somebody pushed it the limit with the 20 invites you can do a month theoretically they could have 20 Plexes for exactly €299 instead of €349.9 (12 + 6 + 2)..

This is absolutely disgusting and I hope this isn't possible? For the love of all that's good in the world how has CCP taken measures to catch these abusers? Pirate

Or is this totally OK and CCP just wants nice stats for shareholders?

you could just buy GTCs and split those into PLEX...

if you buy PLEX directly from CCP you are lazy or stupif.

Yes, there are measures in place to catch abusers of the buddy program and those that take it to the extremes to "farm" items given out through the buddy program or stuff that is available to all accounts (such as the Quafe Zero a while ago) will be (and have been in the past) facing repercussions.

the shuttle isn't exactly rare.. unless you mean the interbus one, I haven't seen many of them around. Those Jove ones are easy to get.

Yes but if someone had quite a lot of these which represented a significant investment and now CCP nukes the prices of them by letting people abuse this offer. I'm glad its not interbus / the other collectors ships though, got several bill ISK in those.


Anyway I feel a sudden need for several alts, also 15 of my friends wanna try eve, although I doubt they are gunna like it, will probably end up quitting after about 51 days.

buy plex for isk, start new alt and activate with plex. get plex back + a shuttle 15mil + a 300mil implant.
