Basically, a free to play, shootier mechwarrior for the PC.
You probably heard of it before. If not, google it.

They're in open beta stage now, so I guess that means it's downloading time.
I'm planning to try it out soon, when I can find the time.

Anybody else from these parts playing it already ?
Any impressions, good or bad ?

All I've heard so far is that Matchmaking with friends is pretty borked right now. The friends who recommended EVE to me have been noodling around with it but I haven't tried it yet.

They've noted that as far as mech-based gameplay goes, the action is pretty satisfying and the controls are pretty responsive.

Well, I guess there's a good reason it's still in beta ;)
But the other stuff, that sounds encouraging.

Never been a fan of mech games, just something about controlling a big robot whilst inside it I always found a bit silly.

That said, I have been following the development of this game via the UDK site and the team seems really dedicated and think they have something unique to offer.

Best of luck to them.
