I only had about 5 minutes to test this morning. Everything looks good so far, especially my Megathron. The hangar view is much smoother, and for once the CQ doesn't stutter badly. Dersen navigated the stairs smoothly for the first time in months, and I notice that the movement controls are now relative to the camera, not to the avatar. Win.

The one, small issue I had: No music on either the login screen or the character selection screen, and no background music in the hangar or the CQ. I'll post more when I get a chance to undock.

2007 24" iMac, running the latest Mac OS X, all patches applied.

I logged out in space and when I log in everything is pitch black, but I can hear my ship moving in the background.
Relogged several times and no difference.

Any ideas whats going on?

I'm having graphics issues as well. Upon login, ship spinning works as normal - but chat windows don't populate, or even show all the tabs. Attempting to open the Neocom - results in partial success (skills show up, but not the 'fixed' info at the top of the Character page).

Upon undocking, the ship 'UI' is present, but nothing else is (screen is otherwise blank). After redocking, station UI includes elements of the ship UI (guns, cap etc), no chat windows, and no station graphics.

When I connected just after the patch everything worked.

Now I log in and I have the same issues, my chat windows don't populate but I see the ship inside the station as long as I don't undock.

If I leave the station I don't see neither the ship nor the station. Once I dock back again, I don't see the ship or station interior.

I'm running in the MacBook Pro, OS 10.6.8 with Nvidia card and I already tried the workaround mentioned in the top thread.

edit: Actually the chat windows are loading. I have been like 5min connected and the local channel appeared, another 5min and the alliance channel. It is taking a extremely long time to connect to each of my stored channels. Once all finish I will try to undock to see if the graphics still goes away.

edit1: This issue is solved when chat is loaded. I didn't experience the issue again yesterday and today (new issue below).

Having some issues. Client updated but once the play button is pressed the system crashed to the dreaded white screen of death and reboots. This appears to be a graphics switching issue from the Intel card to the NVidia. Switching off the auto graphics card switching seems to rectify the issue, but this is not a perfect solution. Bloody unreliable Apple... again.

I've had a massive frame rate drop down to 7-14 fps. Before the update, the game ran fine at 40-60 fps.

Today with the new patch after a while (half hour maybe?) the whole OSX become completely unresponsive (without actually showing the rainbow ball). I had to perform 2 hard resets (first time I find an application that crashes OSX like that after 7 years...)

Wont start on SL (latest), but works in ML.

Before patch worked perfect on SL.
This happens on SLonly.
I boot into ML (dual boot) and everything works.

SL latest on SSD, NV8400, 4g ram, MBP4.1.

Is SL still supported?

thx

Hi guys, my apologies, i'd started a new thread before noticing this one..

after updating, my mouse clicking seems to work only on rare occasions! Currently, Eve is completely unplayable as I can barely log in. I noticed that this has happened after other updates (based on other threads).

I'm running on a 2006 17"MBP where previous versions of the Eve Client have worked fine.

2.33 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo
RadeonX1600
OSX 10.6.8
4GB RAM

Cheers

UPDATE: looks like this has been patched! Thank you!

Greetings,

I have made multiplie post concerning this issue, but I shall do this more completely here.

Eve Client's Freeze. If running multiple clients, sometimes one will freeze and the others will run. At times, clients have frozen one after the other. This has been only experienced on my system after the retribution patch.

My system is as follows:

Processor 2.6 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 1024 MB
Software OS X 10.8.2 (12C3012) - Mountain Lion

Currently no explanation for occurrence of client freezes.

Currently no solution determined.

Since the patch on 12.12.2012 to 1.5. I can no longer get to the logon screen from the client loader. The client ready button lights up, and then when I click PLAY, the client crashes.

Processor 1.7 GHz Intel Core i5

I had the same issue. Had to kill the wineserver process that was left hanging there after the patching.
After the first launch has been starting normally again.

I am still having a lot of issues with the mouse on my MacMini

Software Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G63)
Intel Core i5 2.3 GHz
Graphics Intel HD Graphics 3000 512 MB
Memory 8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3

Mouse clicks don't work correctly, the mouse hover effects don't follow the mouse, and the only way I actually manage to do something, is by pressing the Alt/Option key, and holding it down.

It seems holding that key makes the mouse "more" responsive, even tho it's still very unresponsive.

At first I thought this was a problem for using the game in windowed mode, but it happens also in fullscreen.

I have read several threads in this forums about similar problems and in NONE of those threads there is a solution from CCP :/

Can I please get some kind of reply here?

I have very similar issues: It is as if mouse move events are not processed, and the game only noticed the mouse moves at some other event. It is all very anoying, but strangely enough the problem appears (and sometimes disapears) randomly.

I am on Mac OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.2, on a Mac Pro 2008 with 6 GB RAM and an ATI Radeon 5870.

I'm getting freezes every 10–15 minutes, completely randomly. The screen freezes and stops responding, but I can still hear the game running in the background. All I can do is force-quit with CMD-ALT-ESC.

15" Retina Macbook Pro
2.3 GHz Intel Core i7
8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 1024 MB

Mountain Lion (up to date)

The freezes seem to happen almost entirely due to ingame audio being enabled. Graphics options have no effect.

Turning ingame audio off makes the freezes go away almost entirely. Instead of freezing every 10–15 minutes, I freeze mayhaps once a day.

Same problem as Mykkael.

After between 5 and 30 minutes of play the game locks.
The mouse is still moving but the graphics freezes.
Cmd-Tab (or any other KB input) is not working but the CAPS lights is switching between ON/OFF (hardware works).
The only way out is Cmd-Alt-Esc.

Is there a way to produce a coredump or logs to send to the Support?

The system is:
15" Retina Macbook Pro
2.7 GHz Intel Core i7
16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 1024 MB
OS Version: OS X 10.8.2 (12C3012)
