Everyone can trash and troll the OP all they want, but these high sec "pirates" not honoring ransoms hurts real pirates who use ransoms as a source of income and always honor them. Anybody who offers ransoms and expects people to pay then should frown on such douchebaggery.

Well thank you Yuri. I do appreciate that. I try. Im glad your CEO got a gas out of my mail, to me that says that straight from the top your corporation doesnt honor ransom. Im no noob, far from it in fact - However, perhaps im just used to dealing with honorable pirates. Yes there is such a thing.

It was fun though, too damn bad none of my corpies were close by or we could have had a party ;-)

So, the moral of the story is - Honor is dead within Suddenly Ninja, it is their corporate policy to deceive and scam, as we've just heard from one of their own members - And if you should be lucky enough to be invited to "Suddenly Ransom" your ship is dead anyway, so give 'em hell ;)

Dear Leiron,

I am terribly sorry about the loss of your spaceship. As the CEO of Suddenly Ninjas I actually take complaints like this very seriously. SN is a for-profit organization, and ransoms are a big part of our income. Only content customers are likely to pay again.

According to the logs a group of carol singers who distracted my pilot was the main reason for your loss:

Quote:
Leffy Skaramour > sorry was AFK
radonicon > what?
Leffy Skaramour > someone at door
radonicon > you killed him while you were afk?
Leffy Skaramour > he dead
Yuri Wayfare > ANOTHER?
Leffy Skaramour > oh ****
radonicon > really man
Leffy Skaramour > dont punish me i was listening to carol singers
Leffy Skaramour > sorry
Leffy Skaramour > i gave rl money to carol singers
Leffy Skaramour > and a mince pie
Leffy Skaramour > and a brandy

I will personally see to it that those carol singers will be punished. Also Leffy will be treated appropriately.
I am going to send you a small gift as reparation, Christmas is almost here after all, and I hope we'll keep you as a customer.

Take care,
Scop

You...shot at somebody....who blatantly laid a trap.

And was then surprised when the logi showed up to rep him.

What?

Yeah, you've been around, you have.

Roll

Everything in EVE is a trap.

And if it isn't, it's your job to make it a trap...:)

The term for this is "throwing good money after bad".

Why you would ever pay a ransom is beyond me.

That mischievous l'il devil Leffy is up to his old tricks again I see. On the other hand, I'm shocked and appalled to see such blatant disregard for the Time Honored Practice of ransoms in High Sec...

In other news, lady spank is just jelly ' cause Dazz Riiight is so much hawter.

To be honest, yes it stinks when they do that, but mostly most stuff is trash anyway.
In the future you have a few options here with a better outcome.

1. Shoot wrecks as you go (my personal favBig smile)

2. Leave as soon as trash pickers appear and log out for hour or till next day. (With any luck they will kill mission rats).

3. Put tractor on your ship, loot, shoot wreck. (Another fav of mine)

4. Mess with trash pickers by going to mission hub and parking your obvious mission ship in a "safe spot" and watch as they fly in only to be disappointed cause your just sitting in dead space doing nothing (I've done this so I can put a skid mark on player) then as you "terrible" mark them you will have a list so it's very easy to tell when evil is lurking about in local so you can move to a different area to mission.

BTW, every time somebody flies in to your deadspace spot change your name on your ship this way you can get twice the chuckle when you get a repeat customer Blink use other characters already in local such as "so and so's Navy Raven"

And there is a way to get some of them blown up for free....just not gonna say how cause I don't want a nerf.

And never ever shoot them, a .5¢ mod may cost you alot more for what ccrapola mission drops.

One last thing to get a laugh, take a lvl 1 mission in mission hub park your mission ship and let pirates buzz around and watch as they fly in only to be saddened by the cheapest rats buzzing around you.

I disagree.

Sometimes you just have to stop and take out the trash. I suggest you 'pop and pod' those trash pickers. They are only going to learn the hard way.

Seriously, lets look at what we have.... the mission will shoot at them, corp will aid , and they are suspect to all of eve. I think CCP is trying to throw us a bone here. What more can we ask for?
