Statistical fitting oddity

I have a Federation Comet with 14.0 CPU remaining.

A cap Recharger II uses 15.0tf.

I can still fit this to the ship, and have 2.8 CPU remaining.


What?

I was alerted to something wrong by looking at the icons in the market listing, that show green or red depending on whether or not I can fit it. Indeed I could, to that ship, but I am wondering if the statistics I am looking at when looking at what the ship has remaining and the requirement stats of the module are missing some kind of modifier somewhere, like from skills perhaps?

skills lowering the cpu need of the module perhaps?
Can't check now but I doubt AFTER skills you'd have a round cpu need of exactly 15.0 on that module.

I have had the exact same issue on many Frigates when trying to fit Micro Auxiliary Power Cores.
With a fully fit Merlin with a medium Shield extender and Micro-Auxiliary Power Core, the fitting screen would say 14 PG left, removing the MAPC, which gives 12 PG, offlines the MSE due to insufficient Power Grid.

I have also had a possibly related issue where the number the fitting screen displaysfor PG/CPU is not actually correct, and trying to fit a module that should fit, according to the visible numbers, causes an "Insufficient Power" message and shows the correct amount of fitting remaining in the Pop-Up notice.

Hopefully that makes sense, at least. Anyway, it's not just you.

derp get pyfa and fit your ships there first then export fitting then buy u will save isk by not buying mods u cant fit
