How does my character breathe?

As you can clearly see in this picture, the inside of my character's nose is nothing but a bunch of flesh blocking off all airways except for her mouth. Since my character's mouth never opens, I'm wondering how she is still breathing.

The pod directly respirates your blood which pumps through the support pipes.

You do not breathe, your blood is enriched by machinery. A Heart is a superfluous organ required for non Capsule based activities.
