I only have one concern//question. Was it intentional to make the "Festival Launchers" actual require a Launcher hardpoint? I'm pretty sure the old Snowball Launchers only required a high slot - no launcher or turret hardpoints needed.
Indeed they only required a high slot before; but since then we have added missile launchers as models on the ships, as turrets have been for a long time, and we needed to make sure there were slots available on the ship model to accommodate multiple launchers should you buy more from other players off the market. A module can require a missile launcher slot or a turret slot or neither, we didn't want to experiment with what would happen in the code if a module required either.

Salvagers have a visual model and don't require a turret or launcher slot.

It behaves the same, You fit it on your ship, target something and activate it:

It doesn't launch missiles. It's a shame I can't fit snowballs to non-missile ships, but frankly it's not a huge issue and it wouldn't justify the development time to make it work (in my opinion). Excluding my reservations about bringing back old collector's items, I think CCP have done a great job with these snowballs, and now I'm just seriously hoping they don't give out more of them (or more launchers) until at least next Christmas ... I'm trying to make it big as a snowball speculator :)

My birthday is the day before Christmas!

Fun right?

Not really.

HOWEVER...

CCP, you guys try to make this more than a game with your snowballs, fireworks, and other crazy ideas.

I totally appreciate that and thank you so very much!

Now off to harvest noob tears and form them into more snowballs...

snowballs and fireworks were always a great community item on our uo shard too, as were chocolate eggs left behind by a scripted ultra rapid much hunted easter bunny, never seen my players and my staff being happy about any scripting i have done until then and since.

however it is sad, that snowballs cannot be produced. while being in my position as a dev for an mmo makes me understand the basic thought behind limiting them, i cannot really agree as a player - there should be a blueprint, even if expensive (as like all 4 ice sorts to produce 100 ).

Haven't read all of the thread so apologies if I'm not the first, but I think fireworks should act like a bomb. You launch, it goes in a straight line and goes pop in sounds and colour at a specified distance.

This would open up a whole host of fire work shows and in this 3D area your viewpoint could produce a totally different show to someone on the opposite side - or 100 KM directly below you.

That I hope people would agree would be totally awesome.

Its time to stand up against the bad empire based CEO telling falsehoods about what new characters can accomplish and pushing them towards an in game experience of drudgery and loneliness keeping them in the shadow of ignorance for at nest their own profit at worse apathy towards all the experiences that Eve has to offer.

CCP, don't stop here! Please seak out and destroy all remaining game immursion in EVE. I sudgest you could complete this by adding vanity pets that follow your space ship arount, allowing players to decorate their ships in cute little outfits, or even by making raptor mounts that players can ride around inside space stations. After all, EVE is one of the last good MMOs that isnt full of this crap and this should be rectifided ASAP.

You're an immortal pod pilot travelling in space in vehicles capable of death and destruction on an unimaginable scale able to travel the stars at the speed of light (or faster) and your worried about immersion because of a festival launcher.

Dear CCP,
I'd like to start by saying that I love you guys and I love the gives. I'd like to follow that up with what the [expletive] is this bull[expletive]! I just bought the Genolution implant set as an early christmas gift to myself, and what do I get for christmas from you guys? Why, nothing more than a Genolution implant! That was definitely not a part of the list I sent you, and I demand a refund!

p.s. please don't actually give me a refund, I don't mind keeping it as a spare <3

CCP has committed a grave Logical Error in Reasoning. They are under a misunderstanding of the difference between Universal Instantiation and Existential Generalization.

Universal Instantiation is "a valid rule of inference from a truth about each member of a class of individuals to the truth about a particular individual of that class." Example: 'All men are mammals. Socrates is a man. Therefore, Socrates is a mammal.

Existential Generalization is "a valid rule of inference that allows one to move from a specific statement to a quantified generalized statement." Example: Socrates is a man. Therefore, something is a man.

To quote Shakespeare, "A rose by any other name would smell as sweet." By CCP's line of confused and unsound reasoning, they have come to believe that "A turd by any other name would smell as sweet."

However, to get with the festive spirit of the season, I did just buy a pair of "boots.ini" in memory of CCP's historic past (blunder).

If the boots.ini were a plot to get me to buy a skirt for this character, it worked. Pants just don't really match.
And then, of course, I had to buy a new shirt . . . and one of those cool synthetic eyes.

I have two accounts with ALL 6 slots full of Caldari Pilots. Now I have 2 Gallente Imicus ships. The fact that CCP barely seeded Herons is a little bit strange.

No "thanks" from me. Sorry. But what should I do with two ugly Imicus? Trading versus a Heron which are barely in game? Roll
Please stop giving away such pointless gifts. Really.. instead of that just do nothing.

I am more than dissapointed from CCP.. Not only because of the gifts... because of ALL last changes. Cry
Who is your leading game designer at CCP? What does he think about this?

Two accounts canceled.. again.. NOT only because of the gifts! Because of the horrible bounty mechanic and the stolen Jukebox and this bothersome new sounds. Where can I disable them till my subscription runs out? /o\

However: Merry Christmas. Smile
