There are two basic things you should do before looking to join a corp:

1) Search their name on the Eve-O Forums

2) Search their name on battle-clinic kill boards


If you see a lot of negative posts on the forums be wary. If you see a lot of same corp kills on their kill board be wary.


Those two things have saved me from joining those doucher corps who bring in new recruits just to pop them.

Gotta love all the sarcastic remarks in this posting. The reason for the posting was to inform other new players as myself so they wouldnt be duped. What you take as a given was learned from experience of making mistakes or hearing of others misfortune . The point of the posting to inform for those who dont know and are learning as am I. It does infuriate me that this corp seems to have the protective hand of CCP on it as is demonstrated again with a similar posting i did about EVES protecting this corp being locked. Again within the parameters of the rules (of course). Notice the irony ?? Use the rules to enforce the muzzling of dissent of the condoned violation of the rules. Lmao. Anyway I seemingly have gotten as far as i will be allowed to go with this and im sure this will be locked and ill be banned soon because...well im breaking the rules of course. Big smile

If you didn't bother to read up on it why would you expect anyone else to bother

- oh and yes I know I read it, but I just read theses endless "goon scammed me" threads for the tears, trolling and silly goon alts denying it to protect their income.

Scammers are currently selling killrights on this toon for up to 5mil, if you have paid for this service demand your money back at once.

I would like to apologise for this deplorable action. Goonwaffe is a corporation that values new recruits & honours all recruitment deals. The recruitment policy of a security deposit is something that cannot be waived as it keeps the majority of bad eggs from joining but unfortunately, some of these bad eggs still manage to slip through & tarnish our good name through recruitment scams.


I would like to help you with this situation as you seem like you would be a great addition to our ranks. As you have already been through the recruitment process there is no need to do it again, however I will need a temporary two week 500m payment to cover myself on the off-chance that you turn out to be a bad egg. I will also see to it that everything that the spy took is fully reimbursed

I mean if someone is recruiting from GOONSWAFFE as you have stated And the actual corp is called GoonWaffe then you brought it on your self.

EDIT...Actually I take that back, I think you got scammed and are now running to the forums and blaming Goons, because you made a mistake. If someone, even from the Goons.. though I feel like they have more important things to worry about than scamming newish players to join their corp to kill them, contacted you and said you were chosen, should have been suspicious... Even if you're being sponsored you still have stuff to fill out and it's more than just your API. If it's too good to be true, it probably is.
