Dose anyone dislike the new sound n visual effect of the ship explosion?

At present when an NPC ship blows up we get three sounds: first, the "mosquito" sound of the NPC timer being updated, then the sound of the ship itself exploding (if you are zoomed in close enough to hear it), then the "KERCHUNK" sound of the wreck being created.

Interestingly enough the "NPC timer being updated due to death of an NPC" sound plays for me about a second before the NPC disappears from space and the target lock is broken, so it's helped improve my mission completion times by a minute or two.

The KERCHUNK sound of the wreck being created is really unwelcome. It's especially disconcerting when people undock from stations in their pod, since the KERCHUNK sound plays when pods appear in space for any reason.

I have to say overall I am disappointed with the sounds.

When I heard that CCP was going to be working on sounds I got very excited. I love sounds in my games, I have good headphones for quiet times and a nice sound system for the day time.

I was expecting awesome explosions, realistic powerful sounding lasers, and guns etc..

Instead what we have is arguably worse than what we had before.

The gate jump sounds are uninspiring and UN-powerful sounding.

The turrets sounds are also very underwhelming.

As for that metal pan 'explosion' sound, I just have to wonder what the fudge were you guys thinking?


PLEASE go back to the sounds and beef them up properly.

SOUND IS IMPORTANT!

The good old days of Unreal Tournament, fragging and sniping on Facing Worlds, listening to Foregone Destruction.......

New sounds are terrible!

Ship explosion sounds like someone hitting a car bonnet with a baseball bat. and why do salvaged wrecks make the same sound? This is terrible for noctis pilots after a big mission.

Also the Caldari stargates sound like a bunged up sink draining.

Have to agree, CCP made a real pigs ear of the sound. They should have left the sounds as they were (including the jukebox)

yeah, new sound sucks a bit. volume should change based on ship size.

I dislike the fact that there is no Juke Box and that every time I kill something these annoying bell sound blows up my speaker. remove the bell sound and bring back the Juke Box.
