Love finds itself in unexpected places, it is not something you seek out, but something that comes to you naturally.

Truest and deepest quote to ever come out of RvB:
"Great love is a lot like a good memory, when it's there, and you know it's there, but it's just out of your reach, it can be all you can think about. And you can focus on it and try to force it, but the more you do the more you seem to push it away.... But if you're patient and you hold still.... well maybe.....just maybe....It'll come to you"
-Leonard Church

I'll leave it at that.

hehe

Honestly, I prefer Caboose's philosophy on love:

*I stand corrected, sir.

I started to play Eve in order to relieve the soul-crushing loneliness when my fiance left me at the altar.
It was when my second fiance left me at the altar I started making this kind of gloomy posts.

Why would you come to a cold and harsh place, then?

I introduced an ex-girlfriend to EVE.

Now she has more SP than I do...

And to top it off, she's writing an article about dating and online games.

Not long after I started eve I introduced my then girlfriend. About six months later I was kicked from the corp I was in as I was dabbling in pvp and they were terrified of it. It's about thAt time I split with her. I find out she starts seeing an Irish fellow from my old corp and now they are engaged. Neither of them play any more

I drain ducks of their moisture for sustenance.

I didn't meet my boyfriend on EVE, but rather whilst playing Lotro. He introduced me to EVE after the fact.

Summary:
I wasn't looking for an online relationship, thought people who tried dating sites were pathetic, and usually kept my personal life to myself when it came to online interactions. Then I kept running into this guy in-game who seemed like an ******* in global chat, had a bad reputation for kinship-hopping, and enjoyed pushing people out of their comfort zones. All things that I didn't think too highly of. He was a skilled player though and his tanking went well with my healing. I kept finding myself doing dungeon runs with him late at night. So, I figured I could use him to gear myself up and advance in the game. We ended up creating multiple alts and leveled them up as a duo. Meanwhile, with the help of Ventrilo, he slowly chipped away at the avatars I hid myself behind and we became friends.

Then I took a big leap of faith and went to meet him and some of his friends in real life. I wasn't sure what to think, but confirmed to myself that I was attracted to him, not just his online characters. I kept my relationship a secret from my family in the beginning, trying to avoid the criticism that I knew would be forthcoming when I explained how we met. Lots of drama from that; I'm not going there. So anyway, we continued to see each other about every other month and gamed together daily for hours on end. It got so bad that I would log onto the game and just watch my friends list waiting for him to come online. I had become my own definition of pathetic.

Over the years he's introduced me to other games, EVE being one of them, and we continue to game together to this day. At some point the long distance thing in real life became impossibly frustrating and was actually the source of some of our earlier arguments. Since then I've uprooted myself and moved to be with him. We're committed to each other and I can't imagine my life with anyone else. Not to rub it in anyone's face (but I will anyway), we're the happiest gamer couple I know. I just consider myself extremely lucky.

the first corp i joined the Ceo and his wife played and they were getting their son starting to play.
My current corp has a husband and wife team, who seem to work very well together on op's.

I wish I could contribute to this, but I can't find women who is compatible with me in bed. They all go well until I ask them to beat me while we do it.
