I'm not sure what it is, and I might be wrong, but it seems to me that the ISD are REALLY on the ball today on the forums. Good on you guys, really.

This being EVE I'm tempted to give your ISD names bounties as a congratulations type thing.

I miss ISD TYPE40's deft approach, I always found him quite fair, often using a scalpel and not a sledgehammer. ETA: Never see him on my threads since my shortish hiatus.

For the record, I'm also impressed with the fact that the ISDs commenting and moderating in the last couple of weeks seem to display knowledge of actual gameplay.

I pinched myself when I read this thread and had to check I wasn't on another forum P

I would also like to add my thanks to the ISD team who are getting better and stronger every day.

If this positivity on the EVE forums continues, I may have to lobby for you guys to get an extra Christmas gift for being so nice Blink

EvE Forums shouldn't be moderated. It's just another form of carebearism.

An untrained and/or biased moderator can bias the discussion and lead participant responses, that is not good.

Putting tinfoil theories aside, an unmoderated Eve forum would go down hill very rapidly. So no, it should indeed be moderated and they do a fine job.

I wonder if a thread about the poor performance of ISD would be allowed...

There's nothing worse than an EVE player, generally considered to be top of the food chain in the MMO world, that cannot smacktalk with wit and coherency.

When they lock threads because of things that people other than the OP posted, I report them. Locking threads like that is bad practice and against the community. Eg it would be possible for a sufficiently organised group to deliberately spam threads they don't like in order to get the ISD to lock them...

ISD and the Eve online forum devs should take a look at SA forums if they want to see how moderation SHOULD operate; forum cancer, people lose posting privileges etc etc. Direct the moderation at the people making the bad posting not the community. Don't edit or delete posts; punish and humiliate the person who made the post.
