Regardless, the entire premise of this topic has been accomplished. The Lord Father's remains are now at rest. I will not try to convince people of our point of view, we acted as we did because we did so in accordance with whom we are as a people. We, I, have served the Republic, not for its ideals but for the people. People are more important to us then flags, and how we treat people is equally important.

Once we, the people of this forum, were once Mortals whom owed the world one thing and that was a death. We all die alone even if we lived surrounded with friends, but dignity is something that we can provide to the departed, and dignity was something that was not afforded to those on the unarmed hauler, nor the battle cruiser that begged to die in their place and for their safety.

And you still don't see what you did wrong. Amazing.

Slavery, be it by the Amarr or by Sansha's Nation, is a degrading act for both the slave and the master. However if My Lord Father has taught me anything in both how he kept us as slaves and his interpitations of the scriptures he held so dear that allowed him to see it as his God's will that we, his servants, find our own path, it is that all men are capable of answering to their better nature if given a chance.

Many of my own kind have flooded my inbox with hateful rants about not only honoring the Lord Father, but for putting to death his killers whom were themselves Minmatar. The Lord Father could have escaped Vard with his life, but he chose to stay and fight to allow civilians and others of his Nation to escape in the last moments before the site he was engaged in fell. It was unnecessary for him to die that day, he could have been allowed to escape save for the over zealous wrath of my people. I do not use this as an excuse for my actions against my own save to say that honoring the debt of freedom given to me and my clan by the Lord Father demanded retribution.

I have been humbled by the support given in this situation by my enemies, and I have come to wonder if I cannot use the lessons of this event to better relations between Minmatar and Amarr. Mir'Mulnir Tribe will always stand for the freedom of our kin and the reunification of the Seven Tribes, but I have withdrawn the Tribe from the Tribal Liberation Forces roster until we can decide on how best to serve that goal.

I can't speak for your people or ways, but this was a regrettable, but honourable, path. I hope that those Amarr who lived to see another day will remember that it was your Lord Holder's kindness that sowed the seeds of their survival. I hope as well that those Minmatar who lost their loved ones in these acts can find the same forgiveness as he when you sought your release.
