Sure some people think buying skills/characters is OK, many think it cheating, but was very surprised to find the CSM chairman doing it openly...

Since when is buying a character in the official character bazaar forum against the rules? The extent that you guys go to in the attempts to smear Mittens is astounding.

The game already features ways to Pay To Win... but you can also do all of them through in game work.

No one said it was against the rules? Just surprising that a person supposedly (and publicly) against isk for in game advantages would do such a thing.

Last time I checked, he was against IRL MONEY for in game advantages.

Besides, the fact that he does the transaction doesn't necessary mean he's doing it for himself. He might just act as a proxy.


The current witch-hunt against Mittani is only strengthening his support. If he is the target of such ridiculous attacks and whining, then he must be doing something right.

Well it's kind of surprising him buying a skilled character instead of training it himself the right way, but it is "legal". But yeah for a guy trying to take credit for no pay to win it's pretty pathetic. He must have meant 'no pay to win but paying to speed it up is ok!' l

@OP, can you back up your claims with sources and quotes (and the links to those)?

I'm arguing that there are several shades (or camps if you so will) of 'no RL monies for IG advantages' and you might have put Mittani into the wrong box there..

Hard to believe you are serious lol. Start with his posts when the NEX store rolled out, the official CSM statements and blogs and his video with CCP. Late June would be a good starting place.

Imho I did put Mittani into the box that said "we don't want IG items out of thin air for RL money" and not into the "we don't want any RL <> IG links whatsoever"-box.
If you got proof that I' wrong I'd like to see that proof so I can alter my view on things..

Well here is a link for you to start with. However I feel no great desire to take my time to compile a list and links to spoon feed anyone. If you don't want to believe me because of that - no big. Not slamming you just not eager to spend my week-end time documenting for one person. Blink
