Hi,

I've decided to re-open this thread, but I must inform you that it is being monitored.

The previous thread on the same topic devolved into a bad place very quickly and was locked correctly.

If you want this thread to remain open, then be constructive and don't attack people who are responding to your question.
If you think a reply is breaking the forum rules, taking the law into your own hands is not an acceptable response. All you need do is report the post that breaks the rules and a moderator will deal with it.

Now; back to the question at hand - People have suggested the Vindicator, it's a great ship but you need to get your Minmatar BS skills up. Having your Advanced Weapon's upgrades at V will benefit you quite well, so that's good.

Also, if you get your Minmatar BS skills up, you can also fly a Machariel; which is an amazingly fun ship because of its falloff and damage bonus.
It means you can use 800mm Autocannons out past 100km effectively, although you're going to need to train a lot of gunnery to fit them.

As you've now realised, the Proteus is also a badass, as long as you're using the right subsystems :D

Lastly, I have a soft spot for the Deimos and it's Skill-V bonuses are very nice - and with your Minmatar cruiser skills, a Vigilant might be a lot of fun for you.

Hmph. You must have missed the "I have read and agree with the trolls of service" checkbox Blink for real though, a Vindy, Proteus, or Vigilant are all kickass. Über webs on the Vindy and vigilant, while the Proteus can be set up as acloaky face molester. Macharial is also great, but will require lots of training for you to use effectively.

Without even reading the post, my first thought was

Vindicator!

That might be more of a personal choice, because many pilots would choose many different ships.


PS. I actually 'FLY' a Tengu every day. (So that is maybe my best ship ever?)

My 2 cents I like the loki and mach,

If you have a friend they make a very nice dual setup loki with webs and the mach laying down some smack all while dictating the fight

If you want to fight 2 or 3 ships in null/low and actually have a chance of winning... I'd say an active tanked Neut Domi set up.

Bonus - not very expensive when compared to the vindicator. The Vindicator also has the issue of drawing all the kids from the neighbouring 4 constellations to come get you.

Is it my imagination or did Macharael and Vindicator prices jump? According to my records I bought a Vindicator back in September. I think it cost me about 1 billion and I believe Mach prices were a bit lower. The current prices three months later are currently 1.5b. I don't think it is a overall inflation in ship prices (although I don't tend to remember what I pay for ships) since the Megathron Navy I bought around the same time cost a little under 500m which is higher than the current price.

I'd have to go with the Loki, but only because I have a fondness for T3's, and I do believe the Loki is a solid ship!




But this question does seem subjective, since I would still choose the right ship for the intended task. But if I had to pick just one, I'd have myself a tricked out Loki in a heartbeat :P
