Is there a way to get rid of the stupid targeting reticule when mining? When i'm mining 3 roids it feels/looks like the whole screen is covered simply because they are so big. It just seems totally unnecessary.

I agree, rock pew pew shouldnt require targetting locks like the the PvP boys have it, it should be a gentle calming glow that eminates from the 'target' and when its finally locked, Aura pipes up and tells them 'Target locked, good job! High five!' and when youve harvested a whole lead of ore, you get a medal just for participating.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

And i suppose you want a nice gentle massage as well while the warm glow of your miners gently caress the rock? Roll

The light that burns twice as bright burns half as long - and you have burned so very, very brightly..........

That, so far as I can see, only removes the crosshairs. Not the reticule.

I really really feking hate the new target recticule did the designer work on a 42" screen? if I have 10 targets lock it fills the entire screen its not like we have loads of spare room, with the overview demanding 40% of the screen the local chat box that wont go any slimmer filling another 10% and 100 chat windows, fleet and user action interface box and the the drone interface `which is a nightmare all on its own` taking up the other 49.5%. You decide that a great ******* block of targets that are solid so you can not even click in the gaps to target anything in space should be somehow squezzed into the 0.5% of free space. Even on an 23" wide screen monitor it does not fit every logi I have know hates it and thinks it was designed by a drunk monkey on a bad day. X

Sorry but you can read and probably speak/write English properly. Seems some people around have some issues with that silly language. (including my self)

I know right? To this day I have yet to ever receive an answer to what the hell an turrent is.

Assuming though, that the OP wasn't misusing the terminology and really did want to get rid of the whole reticule, he's SoL.

Yes I do want to either get rid of it, or shrink it a lot...the size on screen is stupidly big.

lol

Sorry to go against the combined knowledge and experience of the (I'm sure) massive number of logi pilots you know, but I'm a logi pilot and I like the new reticles.

All the windows open and their positioning is your issue. You can double-click the headers of those 100 chat windows and compress them down to almost nothing. You can also hide them entirely. Also, the 90% UI scaling setting helps a lot.

The stuff I have open:
Selected Item
Overview
Drones
Notifications and Log
Fleet
Scanner
Cargo
Inventory
Chat (only 8 channels not 100 P, all stacked, short and wide, compact member list)
Local (separate window, tall and skinny to see max number, compact member list)
Fleet Composition
Watch List
Plus Corporation, Assets, EVE Mail, Wallet, Journal, Character Sheet, People & Places, Market, Contracts, all at top of screen, stacked, and double-click compressed.

Yeah, the edges of the screen are taken up, but there's still plenty of space in the middle where all the important stuff happens. I'd say a good 70% of my screen is visible.

Yes I know you were exaggerating, but your post was still funny. So thanks for the laugh. Lol

Overview settings are part of the overview, NOT those in the 'settings menu'

type in chat ...

/open_overview_settings

It won't fix all of your concerns but you can certainly un-busy some of it.

Well you can try the UI scaling.

It'll make everything smaller, even the HUD and fonts and stuff
