Does the Negotiation Skill improve RP/agent?

I know the mechanics of how it works with standard agents, but unsure if it works with research agents and RP.

You may be wrong on this, unless the changes kick in after DT.
I have learned Negotiations 1-3 so far, looks like no changes in RP/agent.

You have to talk to your agent to have the Negotiation skill kick in.

Doing it through your journal (and making them moan you should come and visit) is sufficient

I actually ran the daily mission for the agent, the cashed in the RP, stopped the research, then restarted the research.
No change.

I will wait to see what happens with DT.

It definately works, I've got 2 chars both with quantum physics 4, both using Arvalen Reurmanen (L4), one has Connections 3 and gets 86.40 RP/Day, the other has Connections 5 and gets 92.80 RP/Day, I'm glad I found this post, means I'll train up my alt for Connections since I didn't know about it before Lol

Well I dunno then.

Negotiation, 100% sure, gives you more RP/day. It isn't a HUGE amount, but it does add up.

Maybe you're mixing it up with connections? While Connections *does* improve your standing with the agent, which is technically a factor in the RP/day calculation, you'll end up getting like... 0,02 extra RP/day for training that.

Post:
* agent level (quality is now always +20 for RP gain purposes)
* your relevant science skill level
* either field of study OR datacore cost (50/100/150) - we just need the field multiplier, be it 1, 2 or 3
* effective agent standings (if any) or base agent standings and "Connections" skill level (to determine effective standings)
* negotiations skill level

...and we'll tell you exactly how much RP/day you SHOULD be getting.

That, or calculate it yourself:

RP/day = field multiplier * [ (agent level + science skill level) ^2 ] * [ 1 + (20 + 5*Nego + Effective standing)/100 ]
